  • Publication number: 20160077531
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to valves, and more particularly, to gas valve assemblies. In one illustrative but non-limiting example, a valve assembly may include a valve body, a valve situated in a fluid path of the valve body, a valve actuator for selectively moving the valve actuator, one or more sensors in communication with the fluid path, a controller secured relative to the valve body and in communication with the sensors, and memory operatively coupled to the controller. A user interface may be in communication with the memory and the controller and may be configured to receive a selection from a user for selecting one of two or more selectable options from the memory. The controller may compare sensed parameters to threshold values associated with the selected option. The user interface may have a lock on it to prevent tampering and to provide accountability.

  • Publication number: 20140267798
Abstract: A synchronisation system for correlating positioning data and video data comprises a synchronisation unit which is arranged to: emit an identifier capable of being imaged by a video camera; store the identifier correlated in time with a trail of positioning data corresponding to sequential locations of the synchronisation unit, and communicate the positioning data and correlated identifier to a processing computer. A processing module is operable to nm on a processing computer and is arranged to analyse a sequence of video data to locate the imaged identifier and to determine a time within the video data at which the identifier is located.

  • Patent number: 8681741
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for providing collective sharing and learning of location information in a network, specifically by enabling wireless devices to become self-aware of their location by leveraging the presence of hybrid WLAN/GPS devices that are inherently location self-aware. Self-aware network devices are enabled to self-determine and maintain their own location awareness without the need for a GPS receiver, and using hybrid WLAN/GPS devices to assist WLAN-only devices in becoming location self-aware. Additionally, the method includes pass-by autonomous exchange of location information between network devices, and avoidance of the need to associate by bursting the location information in beacon and probe request/response packets. The system and method also provides for sharing of trusted location data.

  • Patent number: 8370629
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for determining and sharing of trusted location data. The system includes a network device or application and at least two independent trusted sources of location data/location assistance data, where the at least two independent trusted sources have unique and unalterable ID codes. The network device or application receive and authenticate the location information/location assistance data from the at least two independent trusted sources, and the network device or application calculates a trusted location estimate by comparing the location data of the at least two independent trusted sources. The network device or application is a self-aware device. The trusted location data may be virally shared with other self-aware network devices in the network.

  • Publication number: 20100028317
Abstract: Compositions and methods for enhancing repair of damaged DNA in skin cells. Topical compositions comprising at least one agent that upregulates circadian gene expression in skin cells and at least one non-circadian agent that delays mitosis in skin cells. Preferably, such compositions comprise one or more keratinocyte clock and per1 gene activators, along with SIRT1 or one or more sirt1 activators. More preferably, the sirt1 activator is a synergistic combination of specific peptidic sirt1 activators and resveratrol. Preferably, such compositions are easy to use, efficacious, cosmetically acceptable, chemically, thermodynamically and light stable, safe for topical use, have little or no side effects, and commercially feasible in a personal care marketplace.
