  • Publication number: 20230155155
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for transporting and hydrating a redox flow battery system with a portable field hydration system. In one example, the redox flow battery system may be hydrated with the portable field hydration system in a dry state, in the absence of liquids. In this way, a redox flow battery system may be assembled and transported from a battery manufacturing facility to an end-use location off-site while the redox flow battery system is in the dry state, thereby reducing shipping costs, design complexities, as well as logistical and environmental concerns.

  • Publication number: 20220123344
Abstract: A multi-chambered electrolyte storage tank for a redox flow battery system, may include first and second electrolyte chambers, and a bulkhead, wherein the first and second electrolyte chambers are fluidly coupled to first and second sides of a redox flow battery cell, respectively, the first and second electrolyte chambers include first and second liquid electrolyte volumes, respectively, and the first and second liquid electrolyte volumes are separated by the bulkhead positioned therebetween. In this way, manufacturing and operational complexity of a redox flow battery system can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20140259977
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a sustainable building system (SBS) that is affordable, capable of being replicated at a small and large scale, significantly reduces both the heating and cooling loads of the building as well as the total energy that the building consumes. Energy consumption can be reduced sufficiently that the building is capable of net-zero-energy status. That is, a building made using the system, method and components described herein can, with the inclusion of appropriate renewable energy technologies, generate on site all the energy that the building needs. Specific to this SBS is the design of a super-insulated and nearly air-tight building thermal envelop, that is, to the greatest extent possible, thermal-bridge-free and that has incorporated into that envelope high performance windows and doors.

  • Publication number: 20050199444
Abstract: Unique feature of the JMAC system: The container that the oil is purchased in is the container the JMAC system pumps from to provide oil to an engine. Specially designed universal caps that are part of the JMAC system do this. This makes the system convenient for customer, because there is no mess and the oil container is easy to replace. Some of the benefits of the JMAC system: 1.) The JMAC system can provide engine protection while transportation is in motion. There is no need to stop on the roadside or in route if oil is needed. 2.) Clean, convenient and safe. Reduces the risk of getting burned by coming into contact with a hot engine. 3.) Environmentally friendly, oil will remain in a self-contained state. Which means less oil spillage.
