  • Publication number: 20230248210
Abstract: Exemplary apparatus and method can be provided. For example, using at least one light source first arrangement, it is possible to provide pulses of light to at least one portion of a biological structure. At least one detector second arrangement can be used to detect images from the portion(s) based on the pulses, and provide data based on the detection. With at least one configuration, it is possible prevent and/or reduce a movement of the apparatus within at least one anatomical body (i) is a particular surface of the apparatus, (ii) covers at least one portion of the surface, and/or (iii) extends from the surface. In addition or alternatively, with at least one computer third arrangement, it is possible to receive the data, and control a timing of at least one of activation or deactivation of at least one portion of the first arrangement based on the data.

  • Publication number: 20200096311
Abstract: Methods and systems for increasing resolution and mitigating sidelobe artifacts on point spread functions in optical coherence tomography systems by addressing (1) the swept source's power variation across the scan band, (2) errors in sampling instances, and (3) window function selection.

  • Publication number: 20180035874
Abstract: A probe coupling apparatus can be provided which can include, e.g., at least two opposing edges, one of the edges being configured to receive a tip of a probe. The exemplary apparatus can also include an orifice provided between the edges and a portion provided between the opposing edges and extending along the orifice. The portion can have a structure such that, when a force is applied to a section of the portion, a cross-sectional area of the orifice is increase, and, when the force is released, the area is decreased.

  • Publication number: 20160338578
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and devices for providing images based on the optical phase gradients within a biological sample can be provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a tethered and/or untethered capsule can be introduced into a biological specimen to acquire images by illuminating the specimen from at least two different angles, while an objective lens arrangement can relay an image from the illuminated sample to an imaging sensor array. The difference between images acquired using differing illumination angles and from the same position in the sample can indicate a phase contrast in a certain technique (e.g., oblique back illumination). The image focal plane provided by this exemplary arrangement/device, e.g., being planar by definition, constitutes only a small fraction of a volumetric specimen. To provide, e.g.
