  • Publication number: 20180313827
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of selective separation of target molecules from a heterogeneous mixture of target molecules and non-target molecules in a solution, the method comprising: providing a proteinaceous phase in the solution, wherein the proteinaceous phase comprises a matrix of self-assembling proteins, and wherein the proteinaceous phase selectively absorbs the target molecules into the matrix and/or selectively excludes non-target molecules from the matrix thereby selectively isolating the target molecules from the non-target molecules in the solution. The invention further relates to alternative methods of selective separation of target molecules, methods of ion torrent sequencing, compositions, kits and uses thereof.
