  • Publication number: 20080003052
Abstract: The present invention provides a delivery device for delivering a liquid or semi-solid material to a surface. The delivery device has a body having an opening at one of the longitudinal ends, wherein the opening has a first size and a first shape. An applicator is positioned within an interior volume of the body between the ends of the body. This applicator is movable in the longitudinal direction within the interior volume of the body and the applicator has a size and a shape such that the opening retains at least a portion of the applicator within the interior volume of the body. Also within the interior volume is a liquid or semi-solid material, which is to be applied to the surface. Protecting the applicator and liquid or semi-solid material, located within the interior volume of the body, is a cover which may positioned at least at the opening and which covers the opening.

  • Publication number: 20070284266
Abstract: The present invention provides an article of manufacture comprising a container or dispenser having a top, at least one sidewall, a bottom and an interior volume. The at least one sidewall joins the top to the bottom, and the top, the sidewall and bottom define the interior volume capable of holding at least one product. The sidewall has an exterior surface which is covered by an outer sheet component sleeve. At least a major portion of the exterior surface of the sidewall is covered by the outer sheet component sleeve. The outer sheet component sleeve has at least one graphic, image or decorative design located thereon and the outer sheet component has at least one shrinkable polymeric film layer. Also, located within the interior volume is product contained or dispensed from the container or dispenser.

  • Patent number: 6037009
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for spraying an adhesive in a selected pattern on a continuously moving web. The method includes the steps of: (a) supplying a predetermined volumetric flow of adhesive to a nozzle; (b) selectively operating the nozzle between an off position and an on position to spray the volumetric flow of the adhesive; (c) diverting the volumetric flow of the adhesive from the nozzle when the nozzle is operated in the off position; and (d) maintaining a back pressure at the nozzle when the nozzle is operated in the off position to provide a substantially instantaneous spray of the adhesive when the nozzle is operated from the off position to the on position.
