Publication number: 20240339807Abstract: A system for communicating supervisory information between amplifier nodes in an optical communication network utilizes modulation of an included pump source to superimpose the supervisory information on data signals (typically customer data signals) propagating between the amplifier nodes transmitted customer signals. The modulated pump appears as a modulated envelope on the amplified data signal exiting the amplifier node, and may be recovered by suitable demodulation components located at the second node (i.e., the destined receiver of the supervisory information). The supervisory information may include monitoring messages, provisioning data, protocol updates, etc., and is utilized as an input to an included modulator, which then forms a drive signal for the pump controller.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2024Publication date: October 10, 2024Applicant: II-VI Delaware, Inc.Inventors: Aravanan Gurusami, Deepak Devicharan, Timothy K. Zahnley, Martin R. Williams

Patent number: 11407596Abstract: A method for establishing and transmitting the status parameters of a conveyor and it's articles accumulated includes recording a first signal and a second signal with the first signal received from at least one sensor of a plurality of sensors in a conveyor zone and the second signal transmitted in response to receiving the first signal. The first signal is indicative of an article presence status in the conveyor zone and the second signal is indicative of an actuation status of the conveyor zone. Further, the method includes storing the first signal and the second signal recorded over a periodic scan cycle in a memory to create a historical log of the first signal and the second signal.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2021Date of Patent: August 9, 2022Assignee: INTELLIGRATED HEADQUARTERS, LLCInventors: Jason-David Nitzberg, Timothy R. Williams, Rickey L. Busick

Patent number: 7424494Abstract: A system for automatically synchronizing a shared subscriber directory server with a voice messaging system. Update requests are generated for updating the shared subscriber directory server when a subscriber action or an administrative action updates subscriber information in the voice messaging system. The update requests are appended to a queue managed by an update server, and are handled by the update server in the same order as the corresponding actions that generated the requests. The update requests are read from the queue on a first-in first-out basis, are sent to the shared subscriber directory server, and are sent to the shared subscriber directory server where they are applied, thereby synchronously updating the subscriber directory server in real-time based.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2001Date of Patent: September 9, 2008Assignee: Comverse, Inc.Inventors: Doreen D. Jiang, Timothy R. Williams, Wei Shi, Ngonenokhame Inthasomsack, Kay Lynn Watman, Jianghong Zhou, Edward J. Urban, Andrew J. Scharmer

Publication number: 20030099532Abstract: This invention is an improved vehicle body that allows development of a large storage compartment having a chassis mounted deck to assist in loading and unloading an auxiliary load to ground level in less space while maintaining proper vehicle ground clearance. The invention can have body walls in combination with a drop deck and a ceiling to define the storage compartment, at least one hatch hingedly attached to the body having means to raise, lower, and retain the drop deck in a closed position. The invention can add gas shocks on the hatch and line the storage compartment with reinforcements such as firewall rated materials. A winch device, cable and dolly can be added to assist in loading or unloading the auxiliary load. A means to prevent the vehicle from driving off when the drop deck is in a lowered position can also be included.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2001Publication date: May 29, 2003Inventor: Timothy R. Williams

Patent number: 6494285Abstract: An improved heavy vehicle chassis for recreational vehicles, busses and trucks is provided. According to the invention, the chassis has a front frame chassis subcomponent and a rear chassis subcomponent. The front chassis subcomponent contains appropriate chassis subcomponents such as wheels, axles, a suspension unit, braking and steering apparatus. In the preferred embodiment, the engine is disposed between the front chassis subcomponent axles allowing better handling, turning, and maneuverability, while not significantly reducing overall vehicle ground clearance. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the rear chassis configuration has increased storage capacity to accept items as large as additional recreational vehicles such as a personal water craft, golf cart, dirt bike, and the like. A drop deck can be added to assist in delivering the small recreational vehicle to ground level.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2000Date of Patent: December 17, 2002Assignee: Spartan Motors, Inc.Inventor: Timothy R. Patent number: 5863070Abstract: An improved vehicle chassis for motor homes and busses is provided. According to the invention, the chassis has a front frame chassis subcomponent, a rear chassis subcomponent and a center floor rail system. Each subcomponent has contained within it the appropriate subcomponents associated with the chassis; the front subcomponent, for example, has a suspension unit and steering apparatus while the rear subcomponent has transmission, motor and suspension. The front and rear frame chassis subcomponents have longitudinally extending frame rails which connect to one another via a plurality of longitudinally extending floor rails and perpendicular steel plates found in the center floor rail system. The inventive device integrates the chassis and superstructure. Incorporating the superstructure into the chassis lowers vehicle height, and therefore, the center of gravity. This results in better handling and ride characteristics for the finished vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 1996Date of Patent: January 26, 1999Assignee: Spartan Motors, Inc.Inventors: Timothy R.
