  • Patent number: 11624204
Abstract: A vertical rod coupler includes a bracket, bolt, and cam lock. The bolt is disposed through the bracket and the cam lock, and includes a head and a transverse pin. When the bolt is rotated relative to the cam lock, a pin camming surface cams the transverse pin to adjust the tension in the bolt and/or a distance between the head and the bracket.

  • Patent number: 11377887
Abstract: An exit device for a door includes an actuator, a first rod, a second rod, a transom latch, and a side latch having a hook latch head. The side latch may be a mortise latch which may include a plurality of grooves for alignment during installation. When installed in an associated door, the exit device may withstand multiple impacts from windborne objects or pressures induced by high winds.

  • Publication number: 20200277813
Abstract: A latching device may include a latch, and a blocker configured to reduce the operational force used to move the latch to a latch disengaged position when an associated door is loaded with a force in a direction of egress. In some embodiments, the blocker may resist the force in the direction of egress by transferring the load the latch in a manner which reduces resultant friction generated by the latch when it is moved to the latch disengaged position. In some embodiments, the blocker may resist the force in the direction of egress by direction the force away from the latch.

  • Patent number: 10161162
Abstract: A mount is provided for securing an escutcheon on a door. The mount comprises a plate member having a central aperture and an upper pair of elongated slots and a lower pair of elongated slots. Each of the elongated slots extends parallel to a central longitudinal axis of the plate member. A mounting stud is slidably received in at least one of the upper pair of elongated slots and the lower pair of elongated slots for positioning of the stud relative to the central aperture, wherein the studs can be located at selected distances from the central aperture for alignment with a hole through the door.
