    Abstract: A method at an electronic device with a display includes: displaying a user interface having a first region and a second region; receiving, and displaying in the first region of the user interface, a live video stream of a physical environment captured by a remote video camera; displaying, in the second region, a timeline corresponding to a timespan for a first portion of a duration during which the live video stream may have been recorded; in response to receiving a user interaction to move the timespan to a second portion of the duration, transitioning the displayed timeline to a new timeline that corresponds to the timespan for the second portion, and while transitioning, displaying, in the first region, a subset of video frames representing the first and/or second portion of the duration.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for counteracting seizure events in a mammalian brain, the method comprising applying an electrical stimulus to the brain, the electrical stimulus being pulsatile and comprising pulses forming a pulse train. In order to effectively “desynchronize” the neural activity patterns in the brain, the pulse train can be at a frequency greater than substantially 300 Hz and at a duty cycle greater than substantially 20%, the pulse train can have an inconstant inter pulse interval such that the pulse rate is not constant throughout the pulse train, and the pulses can have a pulse width greater than substantially 300 ?sec. Apparatus for carrying out the method is also described.

    Abstract: The invention provides a means of closed exchange of implanted medical device components. An exchanger is brought into contact with the implanted medical device in situ. The component is withdrawn from the implanted device and brought into a closed chamber of the exchanger. Without breaking the contact between implanted device and exchanger, the replacement component is then moved from its position in the exchanger, and inserted into the correct position in the implanted device. The surfaces of the implanted device are not brought into contact with the outside environment, thereby minimizing the possibility of introducing contaminants into the body during the exchange process. The invention is particularly useful for devices that are difficult to position and re-position, thus making it advantageous to exchange only an expended component, rather than the entire device.
