Patent number: 11054975Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for production and display of map based slide presentations. The system may provide a map of a geographic region via a map interface and select a portion of the geographic region for creation of a slide. The slide may be created to incorporate all of the data within the selected portion and may be part of a series of slides in a presentation. The user may further provide access controls to data aspects within the slide and the system may use the access controls to regulate display of the slide.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2020Date of Patent: July 6, 2021Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Peter Wilczynski, Andrew Elder, Quentin Spencer-Harper, Roxana Nadrag, Timothy Slatcher

Publication number: 20210089181Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for improved graphical user interfaces. The system enables multiple separate applications, each of which may typically be in their own separate window or tab, to be interacted within a single window, such as a tab of a web browser application. The main window includes smaller sub-windows that can correspond to a distinct application with its own graphical user interface. A large sub-window within the main window is opened for the primary application where the user is currently interacting with a graphical user interface of the primary application. The user then is able to switch between applications (all within the same main window) and applications that are no longer being used can be minimized in smaller sub-windows off to the side of the primary sub-window. The system enables a user to drag and drop an item from one sub-window to another sub-window. Some of the interactions between the windows and data transformations are stored and can be visually presented in a graph.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2020Publication date: March 25, 2021Inventors: Adam Storr, Aditya Dahiya, Andrew Elder, Daniel Cervelli, Joseph Rafidi, Matthew Bango, Parvathy Menon, Roger Chen, Timothy Slatcher, Walker Burgin

Publication number: 20210049797Abstract: Systems and methods for creating filtered data using graphical methodology. Stored data relationally-linked by an ontology are representable in rows and columns format. The system receives a first input selecting a first data source, displays a portion of the first data source in a first chart, receives a second input identifying a portion of the first chart, generates a first filter based on the identified portion, receives a third input selecting a linked object set, displays an indicator of the linked object set in a second sidebar, displays a portion of the linked object set in a second chart depicting information of the linked object set filtered by the first filter, receives a fourth input identifying a portion of the second chart, generates a second filter based on the identified portion, and displays fields of the linked object set, filtered by the first and second filter, in a third chart.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2020Publication date: February 18, 2021Inventors: Daniel Cervelli, Timothy Slatcher, Adam Storr

Patent number: 10545985Abstract: Computer implemented systems and methods are disclosed for importing data from electronic data files. In accordance with some embodiments, source electronic data files are received at a data importation system and managed by the data importation system. The data importation system may load detector/transformer plugins and determined whether any of the load detector/transformer plugins apply to the received source electronic data files. The data importation system may also generate transformed data using a transformer corresponding to a detector that applies to the source electronic data files. Patent number: 10437612Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve receiving references to application data of applications hosted by the servers. The application data includes information defining an interface of the application (e.g., a set of interface elements), and data types associated with the application. As a part of the process for generating a composite graphical user interface (GUI), the composite interface system receives references to application data of one or more applications at various memory locations (e.g., at both local and third-party servers). In this way, the composite interface system accesses the application data of any referenced application in order to retrieve application data to configure a composite GUI which includes interface elements of each of the referenced application.Type: GrantFiled: February 2, 2017Date of Patent: October 8, 2019Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Mark Elliot, Brian Schimpf, Timothy Slatcher, Ashwin Ramaswamy

In accordance with some embodiments, source electronic data files are received at a data importation system and managed by the data importation system. The data importation system may apply detector/transformer plugins to the received source electronic data files to transform the files for importation into one or more data analysis systems and/or databases. The data importation system may also receive user inputs for mapping source electronic data files to transformation templates. The inputs may include, for example, an assignment of a file format to the source electronic data file, identification of a file type identifier associated with the source electronic data file, and a mapping of a the source electronic data file to a transformation template. The data importation system may store the received inputs as a file type profile in a database.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2016Date of Patent: December 6, 2016Assignee: Palantir Technologies Inc.Inventors: Stephen Yazicioglu, Christopher Luck, Robert Giardina, Justin Streufert, Timothy Slatcher, Gregory O'Conner, Brandon Marc-Aurele, Olivia Zhu, Howard Schindel, Henry Tung, Lucas Ray, Christopher Leech, Eric Jeney, Stefan Negrus, Jason Lee, Alessandro Mingione, John McKinstry Doyle, Hunter Pitelka, Ethan Lozano, Joel Ossher, Matthew Fedderly
