Patent number: 12164617Abstract: Some implementations provide input-triggered user verification. This may involve trigging a user verification (e.g., capture of an image, sound, fingerprint, etc.) to verify a user's identity based on input (e.g., typing) received ad the device. Triggering the user-verification based on receiving input may help ensure that the image, sound, fingerprint, etc. is captured at a time when the user is close to the device, touching the finger-print sensor, and/or in view of the camera during the capturing. Some implementations provide user verification based on a user-identification of a previously selected image. This may involve using an inmate-selected picture or other image to recover a forgotten alphanumeric reference. Some implementations of the invention disclosed herein provide user verification based on a computer-vision identification of a wearable identification tag. This may involve using an image of the user's identification tag worn on the user's wrist to verify the user's identity.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2023Date of Patent: December 10, 2024Assignee: Confinement Telephony Technology, LLCInventors: Timothy Edwin Pabon, John Vincent Townsend, III, Robert James Deglman, Rick Allen Lubbehussen

Publication number: 20240320682Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for computerized methods and systems for processing transaction disputes and processing transactions associated with compromised accounts. According to one exemplary method, a server receives, from a user device, an instruction for disputing a transaction associated with a user account. The server can initiate, based on a record of the transaction, a dispute investigation, and issue provisional credit to the user account for the transaction. Based on a transaction history associated with the user account, the server can determine a plurality of expected transactions associated with the user account and cause the determined expected transactions to be displayed on the user device. After receiving a transaction authorization for at least one of the plurality of expected transactions, the server can process payments for the at least one of the plurality of expected transactions, and generate a notification indicating a status of the dispute investigation.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2024Publication date: September 26, 2024Inventors: Luis MARTINEZ-GUARNEROS, Marc-Edwin Sebastian RIGAUD, Brian R. Publication number: 20240120689Abstract: The electrical connector unit includes a first connector electrically coupled to a component to define a path for electrical supply therethrough for an activation and a deactivation of the component. The first connector includes a body, electrical contacts, and an opening. The body includes a surface that defines an array of electrical contact locations including one or more first electrical contact locations and a second electrical contact location. The electrical contacts extend correspondingly from the first electrical contact locations. The opening extends from the second electrical contact location to fluidly couple with an interior of an enclosure encasing the component. The first connector is configured to receive a second connector configured to facilitate passage of a fluid through the opening to create a pressure differential between the interior of the enclosure and an exterior of the enclosure for performing a leak testing of the enclosure.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 6, 2022Publication date: April 11, 2024Applicant: Caterpillar Inc.Inventors: John Ryan Jones, Rodney Lee Rolffs, Timothy Vincent Connor
