  • Patent number: 5624666
Abstract: Provided is a anti-dandruff shampoo composition comprising: (a) from about 8% to about 40%, by weight, of anionic detersive surfactant; (b) from about 0.1% to about 5%, by weight, of particulate anti-dandruff agent having an average particle size of from about 0.35 microns to about 5 microns; (c) from about 0.01% to about 1.0%, by weight, of a stabilizing agent for said anti-dandruff agent, said stabilizing agent being a soluble cationic polymer; (d)from about 50% to about 91.89%, by weight, water; wherein said shampoo composition is substantially free of suspending agents selected from the group consisting of crystalline suspending agents and anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric polymeric suspending agents. Also provided is a process used for making the present compositions wherein said particulate anti-dandruff agent and said cationic polymer are admixed in water in the presence of anionic detersive surfactant.

  • Patent number: 5174912
Abstract: This invention relates to fabric care compositions comprising microemulsified silicone and dye, preferably in liquid fabric softener/silicone compositions and/or liquid detergent/silicone compositions. The aesthetic effect of the dye is greater for such compositions that similar compositions containing macroemulsions.

  • Patent number: 5173201
Abstract: This invention relates to liquid fabric care compositions comprising a microemulsified amine functional silicone for reducing fiber-fiber/yarn-yarn friction and a fabric softener. The microemulsified amine functional silicone is more effective than prior art amine functional silicone macroemulsions when used with a fabric softener. Preferred composiitons are aqueous based fabric care and are used in the rinse cycle of a fabric care operation.

  • Patent number: 4976878
Abstract: Aqueous liquid fabric softening compositions that have been exposed to low temperatures and "gelled", can be recovered and the original dispersion reformed by heating the compositions to above the Krafft temperature of the composition and then applying shear. Only very light shearing action is required to make the compositions free-flowing again. Electrolyte can be added to aid in recovery. The process can use many different kinds of heating and the process can be applied to both packaged and bulk products.

  • Patent number: 4863620
Abstract: Liquid fabric softening compositions for use in a rinse bath after washing fabrics with a detergent. The softening compositions have a pH of from about 2 to about 6 and contain certain specific yellow/blue colorants at levels which provide a yellow color in the composition and when said compositions are diluted in the rinse water of a typical laundry process, they have a pH of more than about 7.5 and a desirable blue color.
