Patent number: 11886502Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards previewing results generated from indexing data raw data before the corresponding index data is added to an index store. Raw data may be received from a preview data source. After an initial set of configuration information may be established, the preview data may be submitted to an index processing pipeline. A previewing application may generate preview results based on the preview index data and the configuration information. The preview results may enable previewing how the data is being processed by the indexing application. If the preview results are not acceptable, the configuration information may be modified. The preview application enables modification of the configuration information until the generated preview results may be acceptable. If the configuration information is acceptable, the preview data may be processed and indexed in one or more index stores.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2020Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Assignee: Splunk Inc.Inventors: Mitchell Neuman Blank, Jr., Leonid Budchenko, David Carasso, Micah James Delfino, Johnvey Hwang, Stephen Phillip Sorkin, Eric Timothy Woo

Patent number: 11669499Abstract: Replication of search-related configuration customizations across multiple individual configuration files of search heads of a cluster for a consistent user experience. A search head leader of the cluster can receive a first journal entry relating to a first customization of a knowledge object from a first search head of the cluster. The search head leader may determine that the first journal entry references a parent commit journal entry matching a latest commit journal entry in a journal maintained by the search head leader. The first journal entry can be stored in the journal and sent to one or more search heads of the cluster.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 2021Date of Patent: June 6, 2023Assignee: Splunk Inc.Inventor: Eric Timothy Woo

Publication number: 20230127695Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein enable applications to seamlessly consume cloud-based services while minimizing exposure to security vulnerabilities. Specifically, an application is enabled to access a cloud service on behalf of a user without the user's active user token. Access is granted in a way that does not also grant access to any other user's cloud service. In some configurations, during an active user session, an artifact token is generated that caches the user's permissions. The artifact token may later be redeemed to gain access to the user's cloud service. For example, an application may request that a cloud service generate an artifact token. The request may be in response to a user scheduling the application to perform a task that depends on the cloud service. When the scheduled task is performed, the application may redeem the artifact token to access the user's cloud service.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2021Publication date: April 27, 2023Inventors: Wei-ting Timothy WOO, Vladimir FESICH, Seshadri MANI, Jeffrey Lamar MCDOWELL, Naresh KANNAN

Patent number: 11042510Abstract: Replication of search-related configuration customizations across multiple individual configuration files of search heads of a cluster for a consistent user experience. A search head leader of the cluster can receive a first journal entry relating to a first customization of a knowledge object from a first search head of the cluster. Each search head of the cluster can be configured to perform a reduce phase of a map-reduce search computation. The search head leader may determine the first journal entry references a parent commit journal entry matching a latest commit journal entry in a journal stored in a local data store of the search head leader. The first journal entry can be stored in the journal. A configuration file in the local data store of the search head leader may be updated to include the first journal entry. A communication indicating the updating of the configuration file can be sent to the first search head.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2019Date of Patent: June 22, 2021Assignee: Splunk, Inc.Inventor: Eric Timothy Woo

Publication number: 20140100905Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes providing to a user access, via an electronic network, to a memory device on which are stored listings of parcels of real property. A selection of a set of the stored listings is received from the user via the electronic network. In response to receiving the selection, at least a portion of a first itinerary is generated including an indication of at least one time at which the user will receive permitted physical access to at least one parcel of real property associated with the selected set of stored listings. The first itinerary is then provided to the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2013Publication date: April 10, 2014Inventors: APRIL ALEXANDER, JENNIFER CHAO, DARREN YEUNG, VINCENT CHANG, BEN LASLEY, BEN FULTON, JANSEN SHENG, JAMES DEMICHELE, THOMAS YOUNG, SHRENIK DEVASANI, NAVTEJ SADHAL, LUKE MISENHEIMER, HAIYUN HELEN WENG, HAMILTON NGUYEN, TIMOTHY WOO, SETH GOLDENBERG, CHUNG LAI, JUSTIN YAN, MEGHAN KILGORE, JULIA TEITELBAUM

Patent number: 8550004Abstract: An IM type steel cartridge whose base contains a central bore there through—within which bore is a steel base plug holding a primer cup, the base plug being held in place by a low melt, 220 to 250 degree F. melt eutectic solder—wherein, if the cartridge is subjected to an unforeseen thermal or kinetic event, the solder will melt, the base plug ejected, and the propellant will vent rather than explode. The solder bond between the base plug and the cartridge case within which it is held is capable of resisting the from about 72,000, to up to 90,000 psi, force generated within the firing chamber of the weapon by the ignition and firing of the cartridge.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2012Date of Patent: October 8, 2013Assignee: The United States of America as Represented by the Secretary of the ArmyInventors: Timothy Woo, Leon Moy, Bishara Elmasri, Christina Morales, Alan N.
