  • Patent number: 11819631
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for detaching an implantable device from a delivery system are disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, is directed toward an elongated shaft having an inner surface that defines a lumen that extends distally from the proximal portion to an opening at a distal terminus of a distal portion. In some embodiments the distal portion includes an inner polymer structure having a first portion and a second portion positioned distal of the first portion along the length of the inner polymer structure. The first portion can have a first stiffness and the second portion can have a second stiffness less than the first stiffness. The distal portion can further include an outer polymer structure disposed around the inner polymer structure and a coil wound around the inner polymer structure and disposed within the outer polymer structure.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for detaching an implantable device from a delivery system are disclosed herein. One aspect of the present technology, for example, is directed toward an elongated shaft having an inner polymer structure and an outer polymer structure disposed around the inner polymer structure, a braid positioned around at least a portion of the inner polymer structure and extending along at least a portion of the shaft, and a coil wound around at least a portion of the inner polymer structure. In some embodiments, at least a portion of one of the braid or the coil overlaps at least a portion of the other of the braid or coil, the outer polymer structure can be disposed in and around the braid and the coil, and the outer polymer structure can have a stiffness that decreases in a distal direction.

  • Patent number: 9393021
Abstract: A vascular occluding device for modifying blood flow in a vessel, while maintaining blood flow to the surrounding tissue. The occluding device includes a flexible, easily compressible and bendable occluding device that is particularly suited for treating aneurysms in the brain. The neurovascular occluding device can be deployed using a micro-catheter. The occluding device can be formed by braiding wires in a helical fashion and can have varying lattice densities along the length of the occluding device. The occluding device could also have different lattice densities for surfaces on the same radial plane.
