  • Patent number: 6749265
Abstract: A seat of a chair is provided with a plastic main body, a metallic upper cover joined to upper and annular sides of the main body, and a metallic lower cover securely disposed over the bottom of the main body. The metallic covers increase the strength of the seat. The bottom of the plastic main body is formed with vertical connecting tubes, which are tightly fitted around corresponding sleeves secured to upper ends of metallic legs of the chair. The tubes have inner annular protrusions, which are engaged with annular grooves formed on outer sides of the sleeves; and, the seat matches the metallic legs to a greater degree because the outer side of the seat is made of metal.

  • Patent number: 6484649
Abstract: A table includes an upper flat board having the edge folded to join the edge of a lower shaped board. The lower shaped board has lower side strengthening ribs radially extending from a central connecting part. An inner rod is connected to the central connecting part from an upper threaded portion, and connected to a base member from a lower threaded portion. An outer tube is placed around the inner rod with a top abutting the central connecting part. A plastic sleeve is passed into a lower end of the outer tube with the central hole encircling the inner rod, and has a lower end flange interposed between the bottom of the outer tube and the upper side of the base member. Thus, the boards are held at an elevated position by both the inner rod and the outer tube.

  • Publication number: 20020092853
Abstract: An oil hydraulic device for a lid of a garbage can includes a pressure valve, a pushing valve, a hydraulic pipe, a reducing valve and a pedal. The pressure valve is connected to a container of the garbage can, and has a piston capable of moving forwards on the pedal's downward movement. The hydraulic pipe is connected to the pressure valve from a lower end, and the pushing valve from an upper end. The pushing valve is secured to an upper part of the container, and has a piston rod movable upwards to pivot a movable member on said garbage can to open said lid connected to said movable member. The reducing valve is connected to an intermediate portion of said pipe for absorbing a part of pressure of oil in said pipe on said pedal's downward movement.

  • Patent number: 6390321
Abstract: A garbage cam with a push-open cap connected to a pedal interactive device includes a can body, a push-open cap pivotally connected to an inner side of an opening of a can cap, a torque spring to automatically push the push-open cap to move back to close the opening, and a pedal interactive device to pull open the push-open cap. The pedal interactive device consists of a pedal provided at a lower end of the can body, a rope having a first end fixed with the push-open cap and a second end wound around a rope wheel connected to a gear engaging a vertical rack positioned between an upper and a lower rib plates units. The rack is pushed up to rotate the gear and the rope wheel to wind the rope when a user steps down the pedal so that the push-open cap is pulled to open, and the push-open cap automatically moves to close up the opening when the user releases the pedal.

  • Patent number: 6010024
Abstract: A trash can with a cap opened with a step includes an outer trash can, an inner trash can, a cap closing on the outer trash can, a moving mechanism and a step. The step is positioned outside of the outer trash can with a first end of a movable rod of the moving mechanism located just under the step. So, when the step is pressed down with a foot of a user, the movable rod moves up a connecting rod vertically to push the cap to swing up open, as the cap is pivotally connected with a projection fixed on a rear end of the cap. Further, a decorative cap is pivotally connected with the projection, hiding an upper end of the connecting rod protruding out of the outer trash can so as to beautify the whole shape of the trash can.

  • Patent number: 5482237
Abstract: A block includes first and second through holes extending from an upper side thereof through a lower side thereof. A necking passage section is defined between and thus communicates with the first and second through holes. A lower end of the first through hole coincides with the lower end of the second through hole. The first through hole has a central axis which is at an angle to that of the second through hole. The first through hole has a diameter the same as that of a rod to which the block is mounted. The upper end of the second through hole has a diameter greater than that of the rod and tapers to the lower end of the second through hole which coincides with the lower end of the first through hole. The necking passage section is resilient to allow the rod to be forcibly moved between the first and second through holes. An antislip member is provided to an inner periphery of the first through hole. The rod is retained in position when it is received in the first through hole.
