    Abstract: A host computer formed of a motherboard, a power supply unit with a power switch, a data storage device and an external interface is disclosed to have a transfer switch switchable between a first switch position and a second switch position, the transfer switch having three contacts in the first switch position for electrically connecting the motherboard to the power supply unit and the data storage device to the power supply unit and the motherboard to the external interface, and two contacts in the second switch position for electrically connecting the data storage device to the external interface through a data transmission interface and the data storage device to said power supply unit respectively. This design allows access to the data storage device, achieving the effect of sharing the data storage device without booting the computer system.

    Abstract: A debugging method of the BIOS is disclosed. Firstly a debugging routine is written into a boot program. Then the BIOS executes the boot program. The BIOS judges whether a status value is equal to a default value of the debugging routine or not. When the status value is equal to the default value, the BIOS outputs a test value according to the debugging routine. When the status value is not equal to the default value, the debugging routine is quit, and the BIOS continues to execute the boot program.

    Abstract: A computer having an auto-flipping screen and a method for automatically flipping the screen of the computer are disclosed. The computer includes a base, a transmission module, and a screen. In the base, there is a motherboard, and the motherboard is installed with a BIOS, a south bridge chip, and a transmission controller. The south bridge chip controls the communication between the BIOS and the transmission controller. The transmission module is controlled by the transmission controller. The screen performs a flipping operation to the base according to the operation of the transmission module. The transmission controller controls the transmission module according to a default value in the BIOS to automatically flip the screen to a location with an angle.
