  • Patent number: 7589542
Abstract: A hybrid probe design is presented that includes a torsion element and a bending element. These elements allow the probe to store the displacement energy as torsion or as bending. The probe includes a base, a torsion element, a bending element, and a tip. The probe elastically deforms to absorb the displacement energy as the probe tip contacts the DUT contact pad. The bending element absorbs some of the displacement energy through bending. Because the torsion element and the bending element join at an angle, a portion of the displacement energy is transferred to the torsion element causing it to twist (torque). The torsion element can also bend to accommodate the storage of energy through torsion and bending. Adjusting the position of a pivot can alter the probe's energy absorption characteristics. One or more additional angular elements may be added to change the energy absorption characteristics of the probe.

  • Publication number: 20090186088
Abstract: A process for preparation of particles of an inhalable drug is described. The process comprises combining a first liquid and a second liquid in a region of high shear, whereby the first liquid and the second liquid interact to form the particles of the drug. One of the first and second liquids comprises the drug or a precursor thereof. In the case where one of the liquids comprises the precursor, the other of the first and second liquids comprises a reagent which reacts with the precursor under high shear conditions to form particles of the drug. In the case where one of the liquids comprises the drug, the other of the first and second liquids comprises a liquid which, when mixed with the liquid containing the drug under high shear, forms particles of the drug.

  • Patent number: 7444302
Abstract: A processing and submission client/server system transmits relevant loan information from a borrower to one or more lender computer systems through pre-defined file templates, which are utilized during loan origination. An automatic data flow process from the origination screen populates the relevant fields in any other related loan forms and word processing documents. Different forms are supported for different types of loans. The loan originator computer system includes a loan origination software program integrated with a web-browser based interface system. The interface system couples the loan origination software program to one or more partner computers. The partners comprise loan underwriters, lenders, and settlement service vendors. • Publication number: 20070113124
Abstract: In a method of testing integrated circuit (IC), a personal computer host and related software and hardware are used to constitute a system for conducting and controlling IC test. The method includes the steps of: (a) starting the test and using the computer host to drive a loading-unloading device to position an IC to be tested on a testing module; (b) determining whether a testing unit electrically connected to the testing module is in a normal condition or not; (c) driving the testing unit, if it is in normal condition, so as to test the IC positioned on the testing module; (d) picking up and collecting the tested IC to position it in a specific collecting box, depending on whether the tested IC is normal or abnormal; and (e) ending the test. The test of IC can be economically and conveniently conducted through controlling the personal computer host.

  • Publication number: 20070082490
Abstract: An apparatus of chemical mechanical polishing has a polishing machine, a first thickness metrology and a second thickness metrology. The first thickness metrology is connected with the polishing machine, and the second thickness metrology is connected with the polishing machine. Since the thickness of the first material layer and the second material layer after polishing process can be separately measured by the first thickness metrology and the second thickness metrology in-situ, the difference of film thickness between wafers can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20060177786
Abstract: A luminescent container includes a transparent or semi-transparent container body, a wax candle filled in the container body, a candle wick, a luminescent module mounted at the bottom of the wax candle, and a light-guide fiber. The luminescent module includes a power source, a control module, a photosensitive circuit and LEDs. The light-guide fiber is arranged along the candle wick so that its entrance end is placed close to the part of the candle wick sticking top of the wax candle and its exit end touches the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive component. When the wax candle is lit, the control module controls the luminescence of the LEDs and the wax candle container and body are illuminated with the LEDs. The shield of the wax candle container may have the wick flame to burn stably and safely and therefore make the LEDs illuminate stably.

  • Publication number: 20060069753
Abstract: An automated software update method for distributed client/server computers is described. A server process is executed a program on either a standalone computer or a server computer in a distributed client/server network environment. The program updates are either programmed into the server process directly or downloaded to the server in the background. When there is an update to the program, the server forces all client computers executing client-side processes of the server process to shutdown the client process. Alternatively, the server process notifies all clients that an update or maintenance procedure needs to be performed and schedules a disconnect request for all clients. When all clients are disconnected, the server downloads the program updates and performs an automated process to update itself. After the server program is updated, the server allows reconnection of the client computers.

  • Publication number: 20060059422
Abstract: A program module that serves as a dispatcher for client-side desktop applications that use web-based markup language as a graphic user interface to access both web resources and execute local functionalities is described. An embedded browser component within a desktop application allows the client computer to host markup language forms and interact with other web resources. The forms and resources can reside on the client computer or any other networked remote or server computer. The embedded web browser is functional as a stand-alone web browser as well as an interface adapter for the desktop application. Desktop application files or forms can be modified without recompilation of the underlying application code, and the adaptation of the desktop application interface to the web browser interface provides a consistent user interface design for both the desktop and web applications.

  • Publication number: 20060005036
Abstract: A hierarchical security model for networked computer users is described. Files and resources are controlled or created by users within the network. Each user within the network has an account that is managed by a network administrator. The account specifies the user identifier and password. Users are grouped into organizations depending upon function or other organizational parameter. The groups within the network are organized hierarchically in terms of access and control privileges. Users within a higher level group may exercise access and control privileges over files or resources owned by users in a lower level group. The account for each user further specifies the group that the owner belongs to and an identifier for any higher level groups that have access privileges over the user's group. All users within a group inherit the rights and restrictions of the group.
