A method performed at a server comprises generating Domain Name System (DNS) information; deciding whether to transmit the DNS information to a User Equipment (UE) or to a network or to both the UE and the network; and transmitting the DNS information for use with at least one application associated with the UE according to the decision.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to a method and apparatus for handover in next generation networks (NGNs). An exemplary method includes: a method may include: transmitting information of task associated with a UE; and receiving at least one configuration of task result feedback (TRF) associated with the UE from at least one candidate base station (BS), wherein each configuration indicates how to provide result feedback on the task to the UE via a corresponding candidate BS of the at least one candidate BS. Embodiments of the present application can efficiently guarantee the performance requirements (such as latency, energy, computational capability and so on) of a UE during a handover procedure.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to a method and an apparatus for task management in next generation networks (NGNs). According to an embodiment of the present application, a method can include: receiving a request message for requesting candidate configuration of a task result feedback (TRF) on a task associated with a UE; transmitting a task status report configuration to a first edge data network (EDN), wherein the first EDN includes a server to perform the task; and receiving a task status report associated with the task from the first EDN. Embodiments of the present application can efficiently satisfy the quality of service (QoS) or quality of experience (QoE) requirements (such as latency, energy, computational capability and so on) of a UE during a handover procedure.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of communications, and particularly relate to an always-on PDU session management method and device for reducing system overhead and improving user experience.
