  • Patent number: 10116429
Abstract: This disclosure relates to systems and methods for functionality-specific system time synchronization. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, which comprises determining whether functionality-specific system time information is available from a first server. If the functionality-specific system time information is available from the first server, a first request for functionality-specific system time information is transmitted to the first server. A first functionality-specific system time is received from the first server. A second functionality-specific system time can then be generated based on the first functionality-specific system time. If the functionality-specific system time information is not available from the first server, after a second request for functionality-specific system time information is received from a second device, the method further comprises determining whether to provide a local functionality-specific system time to the second device.

  • Patent number: 9924204
Abstract: This disclosure relates to systems and methods for personalized in-flight entertainment. In one embodiment, an in-flight content personalization method is disclosed. Flight information associated with an aircraft may be received at an airline server. One or more passengers related to the flight information may be identified, and content for synchronization to an in-flight entertainment server located on the aircraft for the one or more passengers may be determined. After determining that the airline server is operatively connectable to the in-flight entertainment server, the content may be synchronized. In another embodiment, an in-flight entertainment personalization method is disclosed. Content may be received at an in-flight entertainment server from an off-aircraft airline server via a network connection. A user request for personalized content may be received from a device located on an aircraft during flight. The personalized content for responding to the user request may be identified and provided.

  • Publication number: 20180038703
Abstract: System and method for recommending an optimal route to a user are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method comprises receiving a potential travel request from the user. The method further comprises generating regional context data by analyzing the potential travel request and generating cost context data based on the regional context data. The cost context data comprises at least one potential route. The method further comprises correlating the potential travel request, the regional context data and the cost context data to obtain travel context data. The method further comprises determining the optimal route amongst the at least one potential route by applying one or more rules to a user profile and the travel context data and dynamically updating the optimal route based on at least one of presence of one or more passengers in a vehicle and High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane data.

  • Publication number: 20180007436
Abstract: Disclosed herein is method and system for dynamically providing personalized channel package for multimedia services to user. The method comprises retrieving a default channel map from a data source associated with service provider of the multimedia services. Then the method obtains a user viewing pattern and various channel recommendation factors related to user and the channels. Thereafter, a personalized context data of the user is generated by correlating the viewing pattern and the channel recommendation factors. Finally, the method generates and provides the personalized channel package to the user based on the personalized context data and the default channel map, thereby providing flexibility to the user for dynamically selecting, subscribing and managing the channels. Further, the method also determines an optimal cost for the personalized channel package and allows the user to perform real-time modifications to the channel package for further reducing the cost of the channel package.
