  • Patent number: 9794784
Abstract: Techniques for protecting a configuration of a modem of a mobile device are provided. These techniques include a method that includes receiving a modem control command at a terminal interface of the modem and authenticating the modem control command by determining an authentication level currently associated with the modem, determining a command type associated with the modem control command, and executing an authentication procedure based on the authentication level associated with the modem and the command type associated with the modem control command. The method also includes executing the modem control command responsive to authentication being successful and preventing execution of the modem control command responsive to the authentication being unsuccessful.

  • Patent number: 9608891
Abstract: Methods, devices, non-transitory processor-readable storage media for mapping different local area network (LAN) connections to different data subscriptions of a software-enabled access point (softAP) computing device. A method executed by a softAP computing device processor may include storing a mapping that associates each in a plurality of LAN connections for the LAN established by the softAP computing device with one of a plurality of wide area network (WAN) connections, connecting a client device to the LAN via one of the plurality of LAN connections, routing data traffic received from the client device to one of the plurality of WAN connections based on the stored mapping, and routing data traffic received via one of the plurality of WAN connections to the client device based on the stored mapping. The softAP computing device may also perform re-routing of data traffic based on whether WAN connections are out-of-service or have bandwidth availability.

  • Publication number: 20170034694
Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods of serial port enumeration for communication via a multi-subscription multi-standby communication device. A processor of a computing device in communication with the multi-subscription multi-standby communication device may associate each of two or more serial ports of the computing device with a different subscription of the multi-subscription multi-standby communication device. The processor of the computing device may send communications to a subscription of the multi-subscription multi-standby communication device by addressing the communications to the serial port associated with the subscription.

  • Publication number: 20160066253
Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods of controlling access to radio access protocol stacks within a communication device using a single parameter command. A processor of a communication device may send to a modem an attention (AT) parameter command that includes a parameter identifying two or more protocol stacks from among a plurality of protocol stacks of the communication device. The modem may use the included parameter to identify the protocol stacks from which modem information is to be obtained, and access the information indicated in the AT parameter command. The processor may receive from the modem information related to each of the two or more protocol stacks identified in the parameter included in the AT parameter command.
