The second encoder encodes the difference into a length-variable recovery data code in a first condition of the difference, encodes the difference into a first constant-length recovery data code in a second condition of the difference, and encodes the difference into a second constant-length recovery data code in a third condition of the difference.

The image processing device includes a control unit, a first storing zone, a frame buffer register, a first buffering zone and a first image processor. The first storing zone is electrically connected to the control unit and storing therein a first image frame. The frame buffer register is electrically connected to the control unit and the first storing zone, and performing a first image processing operation on the first image frame in response to a first control signal from the control unit so as to form a first processed frame. The first buffering zone receives and stores the first processed frame from the frame buffer register. The first image processor is electrically connected to the first buffering zone and processing the first processed frame into a first image signal in response to a second control signal from the control unit.

    Abstract: A method for scaling an image frame by an off-screen technology is provided. An image frame consisting of n rows and m columns of data is stored into a storage device. The image frame is divided into a plurality of image portions. Then, the plurality of image portions are picked in sequence to a frame buffer register. An image scaling operation is performed for each picked image portion, and then the scaled image portion is cleared from the frame buffer register.

The data decompressing device is in communication with the image data storage unit and the image displaying device, and decompresses the compressed image data stored in the image data storage unit to recover the digital image data that is then transmitted to the image displaying device for display.

    Abstract: An overlay frame processing method and device are used for showing a display frame and an overlay frame outputted by a digital image processing device on a display. The display frame and the overlay frame respectively consist of display frame pixel data and overlay frame pixel data at corresponding positions. A display controller and an overlay engine read and transmit the display frame pixel data and the overlay frame pixel data out, respectively. An alpha-blending engine receives and performs an alpha-blending operation on the display frame pixel data and the overlay frame pixel data to obtain an alpha-blended pixel data. A digital-to-analog converter converts the alpha-blended pixel data into an analog signal and transmits the analog signal to the display to be displayed.
