Abstract: An adjustable resistor embedded in a multi-layered substrate and method for forming the same. The adjustable resistor comprises: a planar resistor, having a plurality of terminals; and a plurality of connecting lines connected to the planar resistor, each of the connecting lines being drawn from each of the terminals of the planar resistor so as to form a resistor network, wherein the connecting lines are selectively broken by a process for drilling the substrate to form a number of combinations of opened connecting lines such that the resistance value of the adjustable resistor is varied and thus the resistance value of the adjustable resistor can be precisely adjusted.

Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting device is disclosed. The semiconductor light-emitting device comprises a multilayer epitaxial structure disposed on a semiconductor substrate. The semiconductor substrate has a predetermined lattice direction perpendicular to an upper surface thereof, wherein the predetermined lattice direction is angled toward [0?1] or [01?] from [100], or toward [011] or [0 ii] from [?00] so that the upper surface of the semiconductor substrate comprises at least two lattice planes with different lattice plane directions. The multilayer epitaxial structure has a roughened upper surface perpendicular to the predetermined lattice direction. The invention also discloses a method for fabricating a semiconductor light-emitting device.

Abstract: A chain strip for guiding screws in an auto-locking screwdriver comprises at least two papers, the two papers being adhered to one another intermittently, so as to form a plurality of holes between the two papers, wherein screws can be installed in the holes. A first paper of the at least two papers is a wave-like paper layer with protrusions. A second paper of the at least two papers is also a wave-like paper which has a shape identical to the first paper. The first and second papers have a shape selected from semi-round shapes, rectangular shapes, cambered shapes, and trapezoidal shapes. Each connection area has a driving hole for driving the chain strip to move. In use, two chain strips are arranged, and screws pass through the holes of the two chains.

Abstract: A projection apparatus including an illumination system, a display device and an imaging system is described. The illumination system includes a light source for providing a light beam and an optical mirror disposed on a transmission path of the light beam. In particular, an angle is existed between the optical mirror and the transmission path, and the visible light is reflected by the optical mirror while the ultraviolet light and infrared light pass through the optical mirror. The display device is disposed on a transmission path of the visible light so as to form an image beam. The imaging system is disposed on a transmission path of the image beam.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an elastic strip used in electronic devices and designed to enable outlet lines of a membrane circuit board to acquire contact with electrical connections of a printed circuit board through a flat surface. The strip-shaped plate is a strip-shaped structure with an elastic physical property. At least one cavity is disposed in the strip-shaped plate. A rib which corresponds to the cavity is disposed on the upper surface of the strip-shaped plate. Part of the rib protrudes out of the surface of the strip-shaped plate. Abstract: A capacitor structure with a cross-coupling design is provided. In the capacitor structure, conductive lines or electrode plates are coupled together by cross coupling an electrode above or below or aside the other electrode. By cross coupling and fewer vias, the largest capacitance value can be obtained within a minimum area. The capacitor structure provided can also be applied to a high-frequency high-speed module or system to enhance noise inhibition capability of a capacitive substrate.

Abstract: An RFID system comprises an intermediate device that includes a first and second antenna coils connected together in a close loop format. The coils are formed on a flexible substrate that can be folded around a magnetic flux blocker such that one loop is on side of the blocker and the other loop is on the other side of the blocker. The intermediate device can then improve communication between a reader on one side of the blocker and a tag on the other. The coil on the reader side of the blocker can receive RF signals being generated by the reader and convert them to an electrical signal that can be passed to the coil on the tag side of the blockage. The second coil can then generate an RF signal that can be transmitted to the tag.

The catheter has improved traceability, axial collapse resistance, pushability, and crossability, for improved ability to position the balloon at a desired location in a patient's body lumen.

In one embodiment, the active current regulator circuit includes a first input node for receiving a first reference electrical signal, a second input node for receiving a second reference electrical signal, a ground node, and an output node for outputting an output electrical signal with respect to the ground node. The active current regulator circuit further includes a PI controller having a first input node, a second input node, and an output node, and a linear regulator having a first input node electrically coupled to the output of the PI controller for receiving a voltage signal V0 generated the PI controller, a first output node and a second output node. In operation the voltage signal V0 is responsive to at least one input voltage signal applied to the first input of the second input of the amplifier, and drives the linear regulator to have a controlled electrical signal at its first output node accordingly.

Abstract: An electrical discharge machine for improving the guide alignment base structure consisting of a guide alignment base having vertical threaded holes. Furthermore, the guide alignment base has axial adjustment holes that are respectively aligned with the vertical threaded holes, the diameters of the axial adjustment holes slightly larger than the diameters of the vertical threaded holes to enable the insertion of adjustment screws through the axial adjustment holes and fastening into the vertical threaded holes. With a spherical body in between serving as a center, the adjustment screws tilt the guide alignment base forward, backward, leftward, and rightward to adjust the perpendicularity of the guide. Horizontal adjustment screws through the guide alignment base secure the guide alignment base transversely such that the guide alignment base effectively achieves stable positioning to thereby prevent the vertical and horizontal deviation of the guide alignment base when it is impacted.

Abstract: Implementations of a shielded connector system involve connector isolation shielding using shield enclosures to reduce crosstalk and noise transmitted between adjacent signal cable connectors. These implementations allow for manufacture of new equipment and also retrofitting of existing equipment for connector isolation shielding using standard connector configurations without specialized labor intensive terminations for cable and for connectors required of conventional approaches.

Abstract: A power-on reset circuit is provided. The power-on reset circuit includes an adjusting circuit, a charging/discharging unit and an output circuit. The adjusting circuit receives and adjusts a clock signal so as to output a control signal, wherein a minimum level of the control signal is clamped to be higher than a pre-defined level. The charging/discharging unit having a capacitor apparatus receives the control signal, determines whether to charge/discharge the capacitor apparatus based on the control signal, and outputs a storage voltage of the capacitor apparatus. The output circuit receives the storage voltage and outputs the reset signal. Wherein, the adjusting circuit determines the charging/discharging duty cycle of the charging/discharging unit by adjusting the waveform and the minimum level of the control signal. The output circuit enables/disables the reset signal according to whether the storage voltage reaches the threshold voltage of the output circuit.

Abstract: A rodent repellent device of random working frequency is disclosed, which comprises: an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC); a deterring module, electrically connected to the ASIC, capable of emitting a wave emission selected from the group consisting of an ultrasonic wave, a seismic wave and a sound, being used for repelling rodents; and a power source, electrically connected to the ASIC, for providing power to the ASIC and the deterring module. Wherein the ASIC further comprises: an internal precision oscillator; a center processing unit (CPU); a wake-up module, being employed as an activation means for enabling the rodent repellent device to have randomized lasting time of wave emission and randomized intermission between two consecutive wave emissions; a read-only memory (ROM), for storing a program controlling the randomization of each intermission between two consecutive wave emissions and the lasting time of each wave emissions; and a random-access memory (RAM).

In one example, a sender generates an initialization vector, identifies cryptographic keys, encrypts data using the initialization vectors and the cryptographic keys, and transmits the encrypted data in a packet along with the initialization vector.
