The second communication can include transmitting a null data packet (NDP) to the second STA based on the first communication to measure STA-to-STA inference between the first STA and the second STA.

    Abstract: An LED package structure without pre-stored power sources includes a substrate unit and a LED chip. The substrate unit includes a carrier substrate, a positive conductive pin, and a negative conductive pin. The positive conductive pin is made of a first predetermined material with positive oxidation-reduction potential. The negative conductive pin is made of a second predetermined material with negative oxidation-reduction potential. The LED chip is disposed on the carrier substrate and electrically connected between the positive conductive pin and the negative conductive pin. Both the positive conductive pin and the negative conductive pin concurrently contact a predetermined liquid for generating oxidation-reduction reaction so as to generate electric powers with a predetermined driving voltage, and the LED chip is driven by the electric powers with the predetermined driving voltage for generating an indicator light source.

    Abstract: A method of securing a layer of colloidal crystals to a substrate is provided, to enhance durability of an aesthetic effect provided by the colloidal crystals. The method involves depositing a layer of colloidal crystals formed of mono-dispersed particles on the substrate. Subsequently, a layer of water-borne coating is applied to the layer of colloidal crystals. To be effective, the water-borne coating should have a curing temperature that is less than the polymer glass transition temperature of the mono-dispersed particles forming the colloidal crystals. The water-borne coating penetrates through the colloidal crystals to the substrate thus retaining the colloidal crystals in place. The curing temperature of the water-borne coating ensures that the colloidal crystals are not damaged by the process for curing the coating.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for data transfer in spin-based systems where digital bit values are represented by magnetization states of magnetoresistive devices rather than voltages or currents. For data transmission, a spin-based signal is converted to an optical signal and transmitted via an optical transport. For data reception, the optical signal is received via the optical transport and converted back to a spin-based signal. Such data transfer may not require an intervening conversion of the spin-based signal to charge-based signal that relies on voltages or currents to represent digital bit values. In addition, techniques are described to use magnetoresistive devices to control the amount of current or voltage that is delivered, where the magnetization state of the magnetoresistive device is set by an optical signal.

The method involves controlling the power level of the laser beam during at least one of an initial stage or a final stage of advancing the laser beam along a weld path so as to limit a line energy of the laser beam during such stage or stages to being no greater than 10% above a line energy of the laser beam during an intermediate stage of laser beam advancement that is performed between the initial and final stages. By limiting the line energy during the initial and/or final stages of laser beam advancement along the weld path, excessive fusion of the workpiece stack-up assembly can be avoided in those locations to help protect against hot-cracking in the resultant laser weld joint.
