  • Patent number: 8701076
Abstract: Capturing interconnectivity data for one or more multi-pin devices in the design of emulator circuit boards is automated using a translator that extracts relevant information, from a text-based input/output (I/O) definition file. The I/O definition file contains textual descriptions of I/O connectivity information for the various devices created by partitioning the design for application on the emulator circuit board, undefined connector interface entries, and design-specific information. The translator parses through the I/O definition file extracting the I/O connectivity and design-specific information, and retrieves connector interface definitions for the undefined connector interface entries using vendor data.

  • Patent number: 8690819
Abstract: Ultrasound catheter devices and methods provide enhanced disruption of blood vessel obstructions. Generally, an ultrasound catheter includes an elongate flexible catheter body with one or more lumens. An ultrasound transmission member or wire extends longitudinally through the catheter body lumen and, in many embodiments, a guide wire tube also extends through the same lumen. A distal head is fixed to or otherwise mechanically coupled with the distal end of the ultrasound transmission member or wire and is positioned adjacent the distal end of the catheter body. Although the distal end of the catheter body overlaps the distal head, the distal head is not directly affixed to the distal end of the catheter body. Thus, the distal tip may move freely, relative to the distal end of the catheter body when ultrasonic energy is applied through the ultrasound transmission member.

  • Patent number: 8693185
Abstract: An electronic display which can be mounted above a paved surface in an outdoor environment. A surface or plate is placed behind the electronic display to define a gap where cooling air can be drawn through said gap in order to cool the electronic display. A plurality of ribs may be placed within the gap and in thermal communication with the electronic display. The density of the ribs may be varied according to the inlet and exhaust openings for the cooling air. The ribs may be placed at a higher density near the exhaust to account for the increase in temperature of the cooling air as it travels through the gap.

  • Patent number: 8694892
Abstract: A method and system for generating and presenting a display page before all the desired computations are performed needed to fully populate the display page. The presentation system receives a request to present the display page that includes realtime information and non-realtime information. When generating a display page including both realtime and non-realtime information, the presentation system retrieves the realtime information and requests that the non-realtime information be generated. The presentation system then creates an initial display page that includes the realtime information along with an indication that the generation of the non-realtime information has been requested. When the presentation system next generates that display page, it checks whether the non-realtime information has been generated. If so, the presentation system adds the realtime information and non-realtime information to the display page.

  • Patent number: 8694144
Abstract: A difference between a first expected required polish time for a first substrate and a second expected required polish time for a second substrate is determined using a first pre-polish thickness and a second pre-polish thickness measured at an in-line metrology station. A duration of an initial period is determined based on the difference between the first expected required polish time and the second expected required polish time. For the initial period at a beginning of a polishing operation, no pressure is applied to whichever of the first substrate and the second substrate has a lesser expected required polish time while simultaneously pressure is applied to whichever of the first substrate and the second substrate has a greater expected required polish time. After the initial period, pressure is applied to both the first substrate and the second substrate.

  • Publication number: 20140095360
Abstract: A system, including apparatuses and methods, for paper production and distribution in a communication network environment with multi-party and multi-level production and distribution relationships. The system receives, from one or more communicatively connected paper purchaser computers, parameters representative of the total surface area and physical characteristics of paper products required for printing tasks. The system determines an estimated quantity of the paper products to order based at least in part on the received parameters. Then, the system displays the estimated quantity of the paper to order and communicates orders to production facilities for obtaining such quantity.

  • Publication number: 20140094011
Abstract: A method of forming a semiconductor memory cell that includes forming the floating and control gates from the same poly layer. Layers of insulation, conductive and second insulation material are formed over a substrate. A trench is formed in the second insulation material extending down to and exposing the conductive layer. Spacers are formed in the trench, separated by a small and defined gap at a bottom of the trench that exposes a portion of the conductive layer. A trench is then formed through the exposed portion of the conductive layer by performing an anisotropic etch through the gap. The trench is filled with third insulation material. Selected portions of the conductive layer are removed, leaving two blocks thereof separated by the third insulation material.
