  • Patent number: 8225303
Abstract: A method and system provide a business scenario. The method includes executing a first deployment unit on a first application platform. The method includes replacing an original second deployment with an upgraded second deployment unit on an upgraded second application platform. The method includes executing the upgraded second deployment unit. The method including transmitting messages related to the business scenario over a communications link between the first deployment unit and the upgraded second deployment unit. The method includes storing master data related to the business scenario in a data storage.

  • Patent number: 8205195
Abstract: A tool for classifying and installing patches on terminals. Specifically, when a patch is designed, it may be automatically installed on a terminal if it does not have a direct impact on the terminal and is not in an area which relevant to the terminal user.

  • Patent number: 8069184
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for hosting tenants over a network in a computer-based environment in which a provider may store a shared data structure having shared data. A tenant receives a request for a shared data structure and retrieves the shared data structure from the provider based on shared metadata identifying the locations of shared data structures stored at the provider. In addition, based on extension metadata, the tenant retrieves an extended data structure including tenant-specific elements unique to the first tenant. The tenant server then combines the shared and extended data structures into a combined data structure including the tenant-specific elements.

  • Patent number: 7917607
Abstract: Exemplary methods and systems may associate data structures specific to a first tenant with a first tenant template, determine whether new data structures are specific to the first tenant, and if so, associate the new data structures with a second tenant template. By doing so, methods and systems may determine a difference between the first and second tenant templates, making it possible to upgrade a tenant based on the difference. With this capability a provider-tenant system may upgrade applications and data.

  • Publication number: 20080162536
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods and systems for hosting tenants over a network in a computer-based environment in which a provider may store a shared data structure having shared data. A tenant sever retrieves a shared data structure including data elements shared by the plurality of tenants. In addition, tenant sever retrieves a corresponding extended data structure including tenant-specific elements modified for the tenant. From the shared data structure and the extended data structure, tenant server generates a combined data structure including the tenant-specific elements.
