  • Publication number: 20240408831
Abstract: A reinforcing device to provide an alternative improvement in the structural stability of laminated components includes a body structure having an abutment surface and at least one fastening area. The abutment surface extends along a first direction. In a cross-sectional direction, transverse to the first direction, the abutment surface includes a rounded contour section so abutment surface is configured to conform with a concave edge section of a laminated structural member. The at least one fastening area is provided at the body structure opposite to the abutment surface. The at least one fastening area is configured to secure the abutment surface against the concave edge section of the laminated structural member.

  • Publication number: 20240199195
Abstract: A load introduction system comprising an aerodynamic component having a skin section with an outer surface and a first protrusion, and an attachment unit for movably coupling the aerodynamic component to a base unit. The attachment unit is attached to the skin section of the aerodynamic component and to the first protrusion, wherein the first protrusion extends away from the aerodynamic outer surface, thereby separating a space adjacent the aerodynamic outer surface into a front space and a rear space. The attachment unit extends over the first protrusion such that the attachment unit comprises a front portion in the front space and a rear portion in the rear space. Also a method for manufacturing a load introduction system.

  • Patent number: 10457002
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for treating an object manufactured from a material having a defined melting temperature, by subjecting the object to hot isostatic pressing to reduce porosity and increase a density thereof. The method comprises arranging the object in a pressure chamber interior cavity, submerged in a liquid partially filling the cavity, heating the liquid to a below melting temperature, pressurizing the liquid by pressurizing gas above a liquid surface in the cavity, then moving the object out of the liquid, but still within the cavity, subsequently heating the liquid to an above melting temperature, and resubmerging the object in the liquid. Subsequently, the object is withdrawn from the liquid and moved above the liquid. The apparatus comprises the pressure chamber, a movable object support in the cavity, a liquid heater, and a gas inlet and outlet selectively introducing gas into and venting gas from the cavity.

  • Patent number: 10333715
Abstract: Techniques are provided for providing a local computation service on client device authorized by a remote service provider while keeping local data private from the remote service provider. In one example, a computer-implemented method comprises transmitting, by a device operatively coupled to a processor, a homomorphic encryption public key and homomorphically encrypted input data to a service provider. The computer-implemented method also comprises receiving, by the device from the service provider, a homomorphically encrypted signature generated based on the homomorphic encryption public key, the homomorphically encrypted input data, and a homomorphic encryption equivalent defined function.

  • Patent number: 9180629
Abstract: The method according to the invention allows the production of a complex, integral (onepiece) fiber composite part having a plurality of internal and undercut stiffening elements employing removable cores. Because connection elements are no longer necessary, a high weight savings potential results, because, for example, rivets and rivet flanges required for this purpose, as in the case of conventional assembly from individual parts (differential construction), become superfluous.

  • Patent number: 9144949
Abstract: A molding tool for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced plastic aerodynamic aircraft component, which aircraft component, in order to form several bays arranged on the inside and delimited by an outer skin and spars arranged spaced apart from each other, in each case includes a multi-part mold core that matches the shape of the respective bay, wherein to conform to local skin reinforcements and/or spar reinforcements that extend into at least one of the bays, the multi-part mold core includes four or five core parts, of which two core parts comprising a triangular cross section are arranged along opposing edges of the bay, which edges interact with two or three core parts that fill the space between the two triangular core parts, which space extends diagonally relative to the bay.
