  • Patent number: 10287535
Abstract: The present invention relates to a solid block comprising a solidified material, characterized in that the solid block comprises one or more domains of prismatic or cylindrical shape extending between two parallel surfaces of the solid block from one surface to the other, wherein the solidified powder inside the one or more domains and the solidified powder outside the one or more domains each comprises one or more chemical substances, and wherein the chemical composition of the solidified powder inside the one or more domains is different from the chemical composition of the solidified powder outside the one or more domains. The present invention further relates to methods for producing such solid block. The present invention also relates to the use of such solid block as detergent in warewashing applications.

  • Patent number: 10221376
Abstract: The invention includes a solid rinse aid that is particularly designed for extrusion solid formation and which is effective for creating spotless surfaces after rinsing. According to the invention, application has identified the critical combination of solid surfactants, coupling agents, hydrotrope, and hardening agents that is acceptable in the extrusion process to create a solid. The hydrotrope includes one or more short-chain alkylbenzene and/or alkyl naphthalene sulfonates. The composition hardens quickly but not so quick as to negatively impact the extrusion process. The compositions may also be used to form pressed or cast solids.

  • Publication number: 20180355286
Abstract: Solid rinse aid compositions and methods of making and using the same are disclosed. Solid rinse aid compositions include in a single concentrate composition a pyrithione preservative system to replace conventional preservatives in the isothiazolinone family, such as chloromethylisothiazolinone. Beneficially, the pyrithione preservative systems eliminate the need for any personal protective equipment to handle the solid rinse aid compositions. Methods of making and use using the rinse aids are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20150157986
Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for carrying out integrity tests of at least one filter element, arranged within a filter housing, with porous filter materials. Sensors are provided for measuring the sound generated by a test fluid when it flows through the filter element. The method includes applying a test fluid to a first side of the filter materials of the filter element while maintaining a constant fluid pressure, measuring the body-borne sound and/or the vibrations caused by test fluid flowing through the filter materials by sensors, and comparing the body-borne sound and/or the vibrations with the body-borne sound and/or the vibrations of an integral, identical filter element, measured under identical conditions.
