  • Publication number: 20230398521
Abstract: This invention describes water-gas shift reaction catalyst materials. More particularly, the present invention describes spinel-comprising catalysts useful in high-temperature water-gas shift reactions, to methods for making such catalysts, and to methods for forming hydrogen with such catalysts.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 22, 2023
    Publication date: December 14, 2023
Inventors: Hongyi Hou, Claus G. Lugmair, Tobias Henkel, Robert J. O’Brien, Marian Alcid, Yangxue Gao, Tony Volpe
  • Patent number: 10737230
Abstract: The invention relates to a reactor for the catalytic production of methanol, in which at least two catalyst layers are arranged. The first catalyst layer is arranged upstream and the second catalyst layer is arranged downstream. The activity of the first catalyst layer is higher than the activity of the second catalyst layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 13, 2018
Date of Patent: August 11, 2020
Assignees: CLARIANT INTERNATIONAL LTD, L'AIR LIQUIDE SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME POUR L'ETUDE ET L'EXPLOITATION DES PROCÉDÉS GEORGES CLAUDE
Inventors: Hannsjoerg Freund, Robert Frind, Tobias Henkel, Markus Kaiser, Timm Schuhmann, Wolfgang Seuffert, Sebastian Werner
  • Patent number: 10562008
Abstract: As an improvement to processes for desulfurization of natural gas and synthetic natural gas streams that employ conventional zeolitic materials (absorbents), including copper-containing zeolites, pre-treatment methods and post-treatment methods are provided that lower the level of leachable benzene following desulfurization with the absorbents to <0.5 mg benzene/L leachate, while retaining within the absorbents a majority of sulfur adsorbed from a gas stream.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 22, 2018
Date of Patent: February 18, 2020
    Assignee: CLARIANT CORPORATION
Inventors: Jason E. Spencer, Gabrielle C. Ferrer, Tobias A. Henkel
