    Abstract: A method for operating a car park parking system of a car park involves determining a current state of occupancy of the car park and assigning a quick-access parking space to a motor vehicle to be parked depending on the determined state of occupancy. The motor vehicle to be parked is brought driverlessly to the assigned quick-access parking space. An information message is communicated to a user of the motor vehicle to be parked depending on a decision criterion. The information message proposes a pick-up time, and, following acceptance of the proposed pick-up time by the user, the motor vehicle to be parked is brought driverlessly from the quick-access parking space to a long-stay parking space.
