    Abstract: A method and system for a cellular telecommunication system is provided. A transmission signal, which includes reference symbols and synchronization symbols, is received from the network node of at least one cell. At least one pre-coding vector is determined for the transmission signal, where one pre-coding vector is associated with transmission by at least one transmit antenna of the network node of the at least one cell. For each of the at least one pre-coding vectors, a channel estimate is estimated for all sub-carriers of the received transmission signal from the received reference symbols and a reference symbol channel model defined for reference symbols of the transmission signal and from the synchronization symbols, the at least one pre-coding vector, and a synchronization symbol channel model defined for synchronization symbols of the transmission signal.

The method comprises receiving the OFDMA transmission and obtaining a resource grid comprising resource elements of the transmission; determining a set of pairs of the resource elements, wherein the resource elements of the pair are disjoint; for each pair, comparing signals of the resource elements of the pair; determining a statistical test value based on the comparisons; and processing the statistical test value to obtain a desired output about the signal. A computer program for implementing the method, a receiver arrangement adapted to perform such investigation, and a communication apparatus using such receiver arrangement are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A method for sending a data packet from a base station to a mobile terminal includes signalling to the mobile terminal in a first subframe of a radio channel a first downlink assignment of a first data packet of a bundling window. The bundling window represents a number of data packets, already transmitted or to be transmitted to the mobile terminal, that are to be confirmed by the mobile terminal. The downlink assignment represents information about a minimum total number of data packets within the bundling window that are scheduled to be transmitted to the mobile terminal. The method also includes transmitting data packets from a base station in subframes of the radio channel using the bundling window.

The method comprises receiving a transmission comprising at least one transport block; storing soft bits of the transport block in a buffer; and transmitting an automatic repeat request process signal, wherein the transmitting of the automatic repeat request process signal comprises one of: transmitting an acknowledgment signal if the transport block is determined to be properly received, transmitting a negative acknowledgement signal if the transport block is determined to contain an error, and transmitting a blocking indication signal if there is not room enough for the soft bits in the buffer.
