  • Patent number: 11917576
Abstract: A vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication unit, for wirelessly transmitting and/or receiving V2X signals comprising data in a vehicle, includes a plurality of V2X modules. Each respective V2X module is connected to at least one antenna configured to transmit and/or receive the V2X signals in a transmission and reception area. Each respective V2X module comprises at least a transmitting unit configured to modulate data to be transmitted via the V2X signals, and/or a receiving unit configured to demodulate data received via the V2X signals. Each V2X module includes a data interface configured to transmit the data to be transmitted and/or the data received via the V2X signal and a logic module. The plurality of V2X modules includes at least two spatially separated V2X modules. The logic module is configured to link the at least two V2X modules in such a way that a logical unit is configured.

  • Patent number: 11813910
Abstract: A detection system for determining an articulation angle between two sub-vehicles of a vehicle combination connected in an articulated manner includes a detection device configured to detect an environment, wherein the detection device is arranged on one of the sub-vehicles of the vehicle combination and a detection region of the detection device on a sub-region of a sub-vehicle connected to the one sub-vehicle in an articulated manner is oriented so that detection signals, which characterize the sub-region on the other sub-vehicle, can be generated by the detection device and output. The detection system further includes a processing unit configured to receive the detection signals and determine the articulation angle between the two sub-vehicles based on the detection signals and a projection device designed to image a predetermined pattern onto the sub-region on the other sub-vehicle to create a pattern image on the other sub-vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220353655
Abstract: A method for transmitting data between a trailer and a road user in a vehicle environment is provided, wherein the data are transmitted according to a V2X standard with low latency via a wireless V2X data connection between a trailer communication module of the trailer and a subscriber communication module of the road user. The wireless data connection is between the trailer communication module and the subscriber communication module, or indirectly via a distribution station. The distribution station forwards the transmitted data directly, wherein the trailer communication module autonomously selects and activates an operating mode depending on the respective road user. As a function of the activated operating mode; trailer data relating to the trailer are selected and autonomously transmitted according to the V2X standard via the wireless V2X data connection and/or subscriber data provided by road users are received and autonomously processed.

  • Publication number: 20220161619
Abstract: The invention relates to a detection system (4) for ascertaining an articulation angle (K) between two sub-vehicles (2.i, i=1,2, . . . N, Z, A), which are connected together in an articulated manner, of a vehicle combination, comprising: a detection device (6), wherein the detection device (6) is arranged on one of the sub-vehicles (2.i; Z) of the vehicle combination, and a detection region (6a) of the detection device (6) is oriented towards a sub-region (8a) of another sub-vehicle (2.i; A) connected to the sub-vehicle (2.i; Z) in an articulated manner such that detection signals can be generated and output by the detection device (6), said detection signals characterizing the sub-region (8a) on the other sub-vehicle (2.i; A), and a processing unit (7) which is designed to receive the detection signals and ascertain the articulation angle between the two sub-vehicles (2.i; Z, A) using the detection signals.
