  • Patent number: 11925707
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a co-processed lubricant excipient which can be used to manufacture tablets, and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same.

  • Publication number: 20240010543
Abstract: A process for the preparation of a glass container from a glass tube in a glass processing machine includes the steps of: I) heating the glass tube at a defined position between a first portion and a second portion to a temperature above a glass transition temperature of the glass tube while the glass tube is rotating around its longitudinal axis Ltube and pulling apart the first portion and the second portion thereby separating the first portion from the second portion and forming a closed bottom at one end of the first portion; and II) moving a mold matrix of the glass processing machine towards the closed bottom and bringing the mold matrix into contact with the closed bottom. While bringing the mold matrix into contact with the closed bottom, a distance Ym between the mold matrix and a first clamping chuck of the glass processing machine is decreased stepwise.

  • Publication number: 20240009078
Abstract: A glass container is characterized by a longitudinal axis (Ltube) that passes through a center of a glass bottom of the glass container. For any cut surface of the glass container that is obtainable by cutting the glass container in a plane that includes the longitudinal axis Ltube, a minimum thickness (smin) and a maximum thickness (smax) of the glass bottom determined at any position having a distance d1/4 or less to the longitudinal axis Ltube and a thickness (sd1/4) is the thickness of the glass bottom determined at a position having the distance d1/4 to the longitudinal axis Ltube, the distance to the longitudinal axis Ltube in each case being determined in a direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis Ltube and thicknesses smin, smax and sd1/4 being determined in a direction that is parallel to longitudinal axis Ltube, with smax/smin being less than 1.8.

  • Publication number: 20240009079
Abstract: A glass container includes a body region with a first end and a second end, the body region having an outer diameter (d1) and a glass thickness (s1), the body region being characterized by a longitudinal axis (Ltube) that passes through a center of the first and second end. When the glass container is standing on a support surface, h2 is the distance between the support surface up to the second end of the body region. The following condition is fulfilled: (A×X)/B=C. A is an axial load necessary to break the glass container to obtain fragments, X is a normalized area in cm2 defined as h2×d1×?+d12/4×?, B is a number of fragments of the glass container, and C is a fracture ratio. C is 40 N×cm2 or more and B is 30 or more.

  • Publication number: 20230278745
Abstract: A glass container is provided having a glass tube with a first end and a second end and a glass bottom closing the second end. The glass tube has a longitudinal axis and has, in a direction from the first to the second end, a top region, a junction region, a neck region, a shoulder region, and a body region. The top region is at the first end and has an outer diameter (dt), the neck region has an outer diameter (dn) with dn<dt, the body region extends to the second end and has an outer diameter (db) with db>dt, and the glass tube in the body region has a thickness (lb). The outer contour in a transition area between the top and neck regions is defined by a radius of curvature. The glass containers have a neck squeeze test load of at least 1100 N.

  • Publication number: 20210187497
Abstract: A glass container is provided that includes a tube, a circular bottom, and a longitudinal axis. A curved glass heel extends from an outer end the bottom to the first end of the tube. The outer surface has a topography defined by a function ?(x) that is an azimuthal average of a distance between a contact plane and the outer surface at any given position located on a circle having the centre and the radius |x|. The values ? for ?(x) are determined for a plurality of circles the radius of which increases stepwise by 500 ?m starting with a circle around the centre having a radius of 500 ?m. The values ? are determined in a range from x=?0.4×d2/2 to x=+0.4×d2/2, d2 having a size such that at least 4 values ? are determined and can be fitted with a curvature function h ^ ? ( x ) = - c × x 2 1 + 1 - c 2 × x 2 + h 0 .
