Publication number: 20240335793Abstract: The invention relates to the electrodialytic production of ammonia and sulfuric acid from ammonium-sulfate-rich (waste) waters. An object of said invention was to provide a process for recovering ammonia and sulfuric acid from waters containing ammonium sulfate in high concentrations. The process should be practicable on an industrial scale and have good energy efficiency. This problem is solved by a combination of electrodialysis and water electrolysis. It results in ammonium sulfate being split back into ammonia and sulfuric acid. Unlike conventional three-chamber processes, the process of the invention employs a cell having only two compartments, which can however be multiply parallelized within the stack. This type of scale-up is much more cost-effective than connecting multiple cells in parallel.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2024Publication date: October 10, 2024Applicant: Evonik Operations GmbHInventors: Felix STOCKMEIER, Silvia BLANK-SHIM, Patrik STENNER, Tobias WINKLER, Rainer STAHL, Jörg-Joachim Nitz

Patent number: 8638988Abstract: A novel system analyzes and/or tracks the motion of moved or moving objects that carry marker elements glowing in different, defined colors. Cameras record movements and continuously store digital color images. A transformer unit converts the color images into RGB color space. Three color intensities are present for each color pixel. A grayscale image production unit adopts the maximum of the three color intensities for each pixel as the grayscale value. A localization unit exclusively compares each grayscale value with a defined threshold value and stores grayscale values above the threshold value as a member of a pixel cloud that represents a potential marker element. A measuring unit measures the geometry of every pixel cloud exclusively in the grayscale image and deletes pixel clouds that can be excluded as marker elements. An identification unit determines the color of the confirmed pixel clouds in the digitally stored color image.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2012Date of Patent: January 28, 2014Assignee: Movolution GmbHInventors: Andreas Russ, Philipp Russ, Sebastian Schubert, Tobias Winkler

Patent number: 5923035Abstract: A measuring device for determining the concentration of gases with two identical radiation sources and two radiation detectors, which delivers stable measured values despite the contamination that occurs or the shielding from radiation of the outer optical surfaces exposed to the gases or to mixtures of gases and despite possible mechanical disadjustments. The two radiation detectors are provided with an optical concentrator each for bundling the radiation, and being arranged in a gas-tight housing together with the two identical radiation sources and with a beam splitter. One radiation source is directed through a window that is transparent to infrared light to a plane mirror outside the gas-tight housing, and the beam path reflected by the plane mirror falls through the window that is transparent to infrared light onto the beam splitter.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 1997Date of Patent: July 13, 1999Assignee: Dragerwerk AGInventors: Tobias Winkler, Horst-Dieter Hattendorff
