Publication number: 20230065540Abstract: A method for communicating data requests to one or more data sources. The method includes receiving a data request, with which data of one or more data types are requested, from an application, and checking the availability of one or more data sources that are able to provide the one or more requested data types. The method further comprises: if at least one of the one or more data sources is available, sending a request to the available data source for the requested associated data type that the data source can provide; and, if no data source is available for at least one of the requested data types, sending a request for this data type to a placeholder module.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 22, 2022Publication date: March 2, 2023Inventors: Arne Nordmann, Christian Zimmermann, Christopher Huth, Fredrik Kamphuis, Martin Ring, Max Camillo Eisele, Paulius Duplys, Tobias Gehrmann

Patent number: 11592345Abstract: Method for detecting the presence of a driver's hands on the steering wheel is described. By a mathematical model, at least one part of a steering system of the motor vehicle is modeled. In addition, a rotational angle of a lower end and/or an upper end of a torsion bar of the steering system is determined. A torque acting on the torsion bar is determined by a measuring device. A sum of a torque with which the driver acts on the steering wheel and a counter-torque generated by friction in the upper part of the steering system is estimated by a Kalman Filter. In addition, the counter-torque is estimated, and the estimated sum of the torque and the counter-torque are used to determine whether the driver's hands are on the steering wheel.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2018Date of Patent: February 28, 2023Assignee: ZF Automotive Germany GmbHInventors: Emad Farshizadeh, Tobias Oesterwind, Amo Luengen, Dirk Zimmermann

Publication number: 20220281125Abstract: Device for handling and/or processing parts, having first and second subassemblies separably connectable by a connection interface that results from a first contact section of the first subassembly being plugged and/or pressed in a connecting direction onto a second contact section of the second subassembly in a first orientation specified relative to the second contact section. The connection interface includes an electrical interface for transmitting electrical power and/or communication signals between the subassemblies and a fluid interface for transporting fluid between the subassemblies. The first and second contact sections are configured so the connection interface also results if the first contact section is plugged or pressed in the connecting direction onto the second contact section in a further orientation. The further orientation corresponds to the first orientation aside from a rotation of the first contact section by a specified angle about a rotation axis running in the connecting direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2022Publication date: September 8, 2022Inventors: Friedrich DURAND, Tobias FRASCH, Timo ZIMMERMANN, Johannes HOOS, Markus TRICK
