Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a memory device controller toreceive a command comprising an identification of a region of data stored in a memory and a request to change a location of the region of data. The memory device controller is further to request the modification of at least one entry of a plurality of entries, the plurality of entries to map an externally addressable address space of the memory to a physical address space of the memory, the modification of the at least one entry to change a mapping of the region of data between the externally addressable address space and the physical address space without moving the region of data within the memory.
