    Abstract: Provided is a wallpaper printer having a cabinet configured to receive replaceable ink reservoirs and cartridges of blank wallpaper, and a feed system defining a media path through the cabinet, the feed system having pilot guides for guiding the blank wallpaper from the cartridges past a pagewidth printhead for printing. The printer also includes a heated platen positioned in the media path downstream of the pilot guides for heating the blank wallpaper prior to printing. The printer also has a pagewidth printhead arranged in the cabinet for printing images on the blank wallpaper, and a cutter module for cutting the printed wallpaper before the feed system feeds said wallpaper into a container configured to roll the printed wallpaper into a roll for storage purposes.

    Abstract: The invention provides for a wall-mountable pagewidth printer and binder assembly. The binder assembly includes a support structure defining a media path. Print engines are arranged on the support structure to print on sheets of media passing along the media path. A glue wheel assembly is arranged on the support structure and is configured to apply glue to printed media passing along the media path. An integral page binding arrangement is provided for binding printed sheets of media together. The glue wheel assembly is configured to apply glue to an edge of a sheet of media passing through the printer prior to the binding arrangement binding the sheets together. The glue wheel assembly has a glue wheel and a partially hollow axle connected to the glue wheel. The axle has a rotating coupling for a glue supply hose from a cartridge of the printer. A camshaft arrangement operatively exposes the glue wheel to the sheet of media.

The media drive shaft has a drive wheel driven by the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism has a piezo-electric element supported by an arm extending from the chassis. Actuation of the piezo-electric element causes an oscillating movement of the arm to contact the drive wheel upon each oscillation to thereby cause rotational movement of the drive wheel and the media drive shaft.
