Abstract: A catheter insertion apparatus with visual indication of needle penetration of a blood vessel and placement of the catheter cannula within the blood vessel, using blood vessel pressure to indicate needle penetration by the presence of blood within a transparent chamber within the apparatus and the displacement of a plunger to create a negative pressure on the cannula and thus allowing blood to be visible within the catheter hub thereby indicating the introduction of the cannula into the blood vessel.

Abstract: A semi-rigid animal head enclosure with a handle effective in muzzling and controlling a fractious animal using a lead passing through a portion of the enclosure and secured thereto or in corporation with a special capture stick having a lead forming a loop secured to the enclosure, one end of the stick and loop passing through the head enclosure and encircling the neck of an animal the stick having a method for releasing the lead from the capture stick, removing the stick from enclosure allows the lead to be secured to the head enclosure thus maintaining the enclosure over the head of the animal.

Abstract: An animal muzzling apparatus generally for temporary use during treatment and grooming of an animal to prevent injury to attending personnel due to bites. The apparatus being generally a transparent globular shape in standoff relationship with and fully enclosing an animal's head, the enclosure having sufficient air breathing holes or slots therein and a slotted elastic membrane for allowing the globe to be quickly and easily extended over the head of the animal. The globe is further fitted with a flexible sleeve encircling the slotted, elastic membrane, extending around the animal's neck and secured thereabouts with a quick draw string having a quick lock. The globe may optionally be fitted with a removable front cover or hinged in a manner that allows access to the animal's head for administering medication and treatment to the animal's head.

Abstract: A plural nipple baby toy including a polymeric, hollow spherical ball constructed with interlocking hemispheres having a plurality of holes in its periphery surface adapted for receiving a plurality of brightly colored bottle or pacifier nipples. The nipples are installed within the ball prior to assembly of the interlocking hemispheres and secured therein by retainers in a manner whereby the ball and nipple are permanently fixed as an integral unit. The nipples may be symmetrically spaced with the preferred embodiment having up to six nipples. The toy can be transformed into a plural nipple ball with a handle by substituting a handle assembly for one of the nipples. A more elaborate toy may be assembled by simply providing two plural nipple balls connected by a common handle assembly replacing one nipple on each ball.
