    Abstract: A method and related system are provided for selecting a gown to be worn during a medical procedure according to a degree of barrier protection provided by the gown. A plurality of surgical gowns are provided having varying degrees of barrier protection. A comprehensive listing of information is provided on each of the gowns that indicates the different degrees of protection and corresponding indicia for all the gowns.

    Abstract: A closure device for use in closing lacerations, incisions, wounds and the like. The closure device includes a relatively narrow closure member connected at one end to an enlarged viewing member. Both members have adhesive layers applied in appropriate places to adhere the closure device to the patient. Protective members are arranged to cover the device so that the device can be handled and applied by a person wearing surgical gloves. The wound closure device may also include a hinge member joining the closure member and the viewing member.

    Abstract: A securement device is provided for securing a catheter to a patient's skin. An elongated handle member is used to align and apply the device to the patient's skin. A cover dressing is releasably attached to the handle member and has a covering side configured for placement against the patient's skin to cover at least the entry wound created by the catheter. The holder includes a securing member with a first side having an adhesive thereon for securing to the patient's skin adjacent to the point of entry of the catheter through the skin. The securing member includes an opening therethrough to allow a protrusion or portion of the catheter to extend therethrough while the first side of the securing member adheres the catheter to the patient's skin on opposite sides of the opening. The cover dressing is foldable over the securing member along a hinge section between the securing member and the cover dressing.

Additionally, a method of manufacturing a wound dressing delivery system is disclosed. The method of manufacturing includes the steps of casting a film onto a protective cover, coating the film with an adhesive layer, placing a tab on one end of the adhesive layer, placing a release liner over the adhesive layer, and connecting the release liner and the protective cover with a tape.
