  • Patent number: 12659186
Abstract: An example control system includes: a first communication network having a first communication bus; a second communication network having a second communication bus, independent from the first communication bus; a plurality of devices that are communicatively coupled to the first communication bus, such that each device of the plurality of devices is in direct communication with other devices of the plurality of devices, wherein the plurality of devices include: at least one drive motor controller of an electric motor that drives the vehicle, wherein the at least one drive motor controller is communicatively coupled to the first communication bus and the second communication bus; and at least one input device that commands movement of the vehicle, wherein the at least one input device is communicatively coupled directly to the at least one drive motor controller via the second communication bus.

  • Patent number: 12637054
Abstract: An example vehicle includes: at least one electric motor that propels the vehicle; at least one drive motor controller that controls the at least one electric motor to propel the vehicle; and a plurality of inertial measurement unit (IMU) modules coupled to various locations on the vehicle including the at least one drive motor controller or the at least one electric motor, wherein the plurality of IMU modules provide sensor information indicative of one or more of heading, acceleration, or orientation of the vehicle, wherein the at least one drive motor controller receives the sensor information from the plurality of IMU modules, and responsively adjusts operation of the at least one electric motor based on the sensor information.

  • Patent number: 12449249
Abstract: An example sensor assembly includes: a rotary displacement amplifier configured to be coupled to a lap bar of a mower and configured to amplify movement of the lap bar; and a rotary sensor comprising a sensor shaft coupled to, and rotatable by, the rotary displacement amplifier, wherein the rotary displacement amplifier is configured to transmit an amplified movement of the lap bar to the sensor shaft, and wherein the rotary sensor is configured to provide a signal indicative of a rotary position of the sensor shaft to a drive motor controller of the mower to drive an electric motor based on the signal.

  • Patent number: 7716907
Abstract: A height of cut adjustment mechanism is provided for a rotary cutting deck mounted on a lift arm extending from a traction vehicle. The mechanism includes a front axle and a rear axle, at least one roller mounted on each axle, and a pair of height of cut arms extending from each axle to a pivot axis on the rotary cutting deck. A notch lock on each height of cut arm may be moved between a locked position in which the notch lock engages a notch plate at a desired cutting height, and an unlocked position in which the notch lock disengages the notch plate so that the height of cut arm can pivot with respect to the rotary cutting deck. A lever attached to each notch lock can be operated to move the notch lock between the locked and the unlocked positions.
