  • Publication number: 20080260142
Abstract: An interface card adapted to be mounted at the back plane of a splitter chassis. The interface card includes card edge connectors for providing connections with a splitter card. The interface card also includes cable connectors for inputting mixed voice and data, and for outputting data and voice signals. Tracings are provided on the interface card for interconnecting the cable connectors and the card edge connectors. The tracings are configured such that first tracings carrying data signals from the splitter card to the cable connectors do not cross second tracings carrying voice signals from the splitter card to the cable connectors.

  • Patent number: 6826280
Abstract: Telecommunications systems are provided which include telecommunications equipment, multi-pair connectors and cables, and management devices for grooming the conductors of the connectors and cables for efficient use of the conductor pairs between equipment. A further management device provides cross-connect fields for the conductor pairs of the system. A chassis may house the grooming device, any cross-connect device, and possibly a POTS splitter device. The grooming and cross-connects may be manually controlled, or electronically controlled, including locally or remotely.

  • Patent number: 6768794
Abstract: A test box including a housing defining a front plane and a back plane. A plurality of jacks are positioned adjacent the front plane. The jacks define a plurality of rows of ports. Each row of ports includes at least 24 ports. The jacks also include electrical contacts corresponding to each of the ports. The testing box also includes a plurality of pairs of electrical connectors positioned adjacent the back plane. Each pair of electrical connectors includes an input connector for inputting signals into the test box and an output connector for outputting signals from the test box. The test box further includes a plurality of circuit boards positioned within the housing. The circuit boards include tracings for conveying signals from the input connectors to the jacks and for returning the signals from the jacks back to the output connectors.

  • Patent number: 5393249
Abstract: A jack assembly is disclosed including a jack having a means for releasable attachment to a mount. The jack further includes a body with means for connection to jack plugs and a circuit board having a plurality of contact points disposed on the first and second sides of the circuit board. Also included is a mount having a plurality of exposed contact members arranged in a predetermined array so that when the jack is inserted into the mount each electric contact point is in electrical communication with a discrete member of the contact members on the mount.

  • Patent number: 5297339
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a fixture for terminating a miniature coaxial cable with a connector, and a kit for use with the fixture. The coaxial cable includes a center conductor and the connector has a connector center conductor which has a pin-shaped first end and a receiving member for receiving the central conductor of the coaxial cable. The fixture for terminating the coaxial table includes a base and a first beam and a second beam for holding the pin-shaped first end. The fixture also includes a third beam for holding the coaxial cable so that the center conductor of the coaxial cable can be inserted in the receiving member of the connector center conductor. The kit includes a working surface and a tray for holding parts of the connector.

  • Patent number: 5214673
Abstract: A modular digital signal cross-connect assembly is disclosed having housing and a plurality of coax digital signal cross-connect modules. Each of the modules has a frame that is slidably received within the housing. Each frame carries coax DSX circuitry, including a plurality of jacks on a forward wall of the module. Rear walls of the module carry coax connectors which are slidably engageable with coax connectors mounted on the housing. The coax connectors are aligned for the housing and the frame connectors to mate as the frame is slid into the housing to an inserted position. In alternative embodiments, the modules include a monitor switch to permit monitoring of any one of a plurality of circuit path in said modules.
