  • Publication number: 20230240183
Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is directed to an electric lawn machine and method for use. The machine can include a housing and a tool, such as a lawnmower blade. A front pair of drive wheels, rear pair of drive wheels, and a storage surface/wheels can be connected to the housing. The housing can be configured to be placed upon a ground surface in two different positions: a use position in which the front pair of drive wheels and the rear pair of drive wheels contact the ground surface; and, a storage position in which the rear pair of drive wheels and the storage surface/wheel(s) contact the ground surface. A handle can be provided that is moveable between a use position, storage position, and an intermediate position in which the machine can be pulled/pushed around into and out of storage by the handle.

  • Patent number: 11692736
Abstract: An air conditioner shut-off system includes an overflow conduit that is coupled, at one end, to the drainage system of an air handler unit of the air conditioner system. The opposite end of the overflow conduit is positioned over an overflow container, which is suspended by a harness at the lower end of the harness. The upper end of the harness being operably coupled to the shut off switch throw of a shut off switch, which is provided on or proximate to the air handler unit. If the drainage system becomes obstructed, water will flow into the overflow container through the conduit, and eventually the mass of the water accumulated in the overflow container will produce enough force acting on the shut off switch throw through the harness to flip the shut off switch throw to the OFF position, resulting in the air conditioner system being shut off.

  • Publication number: 20220210498
Abstract: An archive model can be used for managing networked storage of recorded content, such as network DVR (digital video recorder) content. Content may be initially recorded to an active storage device, with individual duplicate copies recorded for each requesting user, and subsequently archived to an archive storage device. For playback, the content can be reconstituted into the active storage device prior to delivery to the requesting user. Content can be predictively reconstituted in anticipation of user needs, and the reconstitution capacity of the system can be dynamically reallocated for load balancing.

The opposite end of the overflow conduit is positioned over an overflow container, which is suspended by a harness at the lower end of the harness. The upper end of the harness being operably coupled to the breaker throw of the main breaker, which is provided on or proximate to the air handler unit. If the drainage system becomes obstructed, water will flow into the overflow container through the conduit, and eventually the mass of the water accumulated in the overflow container will produce enough force acting on the breaker throw through the harness to flip the breaker throw to the OFF position and shut off the air conditioner system.

  • Publication number: 20220030320
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for customizing the display of interactive television overlays. A condition related to the display of an overlay on top of video for a television channel may be defined for each of a plurality of television channels. A default set of information types for an interactive television overlay (e.g., a FLIP overlay, a BROWSE overlay, etc.) may be defined for the plurality of television channels. When the overlay is displayed on top of video for a given television channel of the plurality of television channels, the overlay may include information of the default set of information types. One or more television channels of the plurality of television channels may be identified as channels for which the default set of information types does not apply (e.g., channels for which the overlay is not displayed or for which a custom set of information types is defined).

Abstract: A lawnmower and lawnmower cooling system can include a housing configured to contain a motor, a battery assembly, a motor driver, and a controller. The housing can include at least one air inlet located adjacent to the top surface of the deck. The housing can include a driver chamber, a battery chamber, a motor chamber, and at least one air outlet. A fan can be mounted in the housing such that, when the fan operates, air enters the air inlet, flows through the driver chamber away from the top surface of the deck along the upward direction, passes through the motor driver along the upward direction, passes into the battery chamber and flows through the battery pack, passes into the motor chamber and flows through the electric motor, and exits the motor chamber through the at least one air outlet.

  • Patent number: 10945366
Abstract: Various types of lawnmowers are disclosed that include a cutter housing having a cutting chamber and a discharge opening therein. A driving mechanism can be mounted on the cutter housing, and a radius arm can be mounted on or near the blade spindle such that the radius arm is rotatable about the blade spindle. A shutter gate that is arcuate in shape can be mounted on the radius arm so as to rotate with the radius arm between a discharge arrangement and a mulch arrangement. The shutter gate can include a driven element that is driven by the driving mechanism to cause the shutter gate to rotate between the discharge arrangement where the shutter gate allows for discharge of vegetation through the discharge opening, and the mulch arrangement where the shutter gate blocks the discharge opening.

  • Patent number: 10897845
Abstract: Various types of lawnmowers are disclosed that include a cutter housing having a chamber wall and a discharge opening therein. A mulch gate can be provided with an interior scroll-shaped face and can be pivotably attached to the cutter housing so as to be movable between an opened gate position and a closed position. In the opened position, the mulch gate is positioned such that the discharge opening is opened to an exterior of the lawnmower to allow clippings to pass therethrough and out of the lawnmower. In the closed position the mulch gate closes the discharge opening to provide a mulch mode in which clippings remain in the cutter housing for added cutting by the lawnmower blade. When the mulch gate is in the closed gate position, the interior scroll-shaped face of the mulch gate can be substantially continuous with a wall interior surface of the chamber wall.

  • Patent number: 10834869
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the disclosed subject matter, a lift assembly for a lawnmower can include a mower housing configured to house blades for cutting vegetation. A frame can be located above the mower housing, the frame including two longitudinal extending frame members, and at least one pivot bar extending between the two longitudinal extending frame members. A linear actuator can be located adjacent the frame members and connected to the pivot bar such that actuation of the linear actuator causes the pivot bar to rotate about a rotational axis of the pivot bar. At least one cam can be connected to the pivot bar so as to rotate with the pivot bar, the cam including a mower housing attachment element that supports the mower housing such that rotation of the cam varies a distance between the frame and the mower housing.

  • Publication number: 20200329269
Abstract: A network digital video recording (nDVR) system may take into account the capabilities of a requesting user's local DVR when managing network recordings. The user's local DVR may include a temporary buffer that is normally used to record what the DVR is tuned to, and may be used for local trickplay functionality such as pausing live television. The nDVR features described herein may track the usage of the user's temporary DVR buffer, and use that in determining what to stream in response to a user's playback request. The nDVR system can also determine if the user's local DVR has an unused tuner at a time of a program recording, and can instruct the user's local DVR to also tune to the program.
