Patent number: 6457203Abstract: An insert has an upper and lower portions used in conjunction with a variety of sizes of a wash buckets and a wringer to eliminate the contamination of clean wash solution with dirty solution during the moping process. The insert allows for a separation of liquids while limiting the volume that is lost in the wash bucket with the use of an insert. A wringer attaches to the insert and when used to wring out a mop the insert collects all the dirty solution that is extracted from the mop. The insert allows for the maximum clean wash solution volume and dirty solution volume while also increasing the height of the wringer when used in conjunction with the insert and wash bucket.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2000Date of Patent: October 1, 2002Assignee: Johnson Diversey, Inc.Inventors: Todd A. Patent number: 5784746Abstract: A mop head comprising a plurality of absorbent strands and an abrasive pad located close to a first ends of the strands may be used in a conventional manner to perform abrasive point load mopping. In a method of abrasive point load mopping, the abrasive pad mechanically breaks up surface contaminants that have accumulated on a kitchen floor without substrate surface deterioration. No special skills, special cleaning solutions or special equipment are required in order to effectively improve the floor's coefficient of friction and thereby reduce the risk of injuries from slips and falls. In one preferred embodiment, the mop head also includes a second abrasive pad located at the mop handle attachment, intermediate the first abrasive pad and the handle.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1996Date of Patent: July 28, 1998Assignee: Economics in TechnologyInventors: Todd A. Patent number: 5481834Abstract: A fire resistant panel includes at least four parallel vertically extending sheets of gypsum. The sheets are fastened together in a spaced apart arrangement with two outer sheets and two inner sheets positioned between the outer sheets to define a member having first and second opposite vertically extending sides. Vertically extending sheets of steel are in contact with and cover both sides of the member. The upper support for the member defines a circuitous path from one side of the member to the other. A bottom seal is supported by the member and includes a weight mechanism attached to the bottom seal. The weight is pivotally movable and biases the bottom seal downwardly for engagement with a floor.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1994Date of Patent: January 9, 1996Assignee: Hufcor, Inc.Inventors: Stanley Kowalczyk, Todd A.
