The light fixture may be provided as a ring of LEDs that illuminate upon the occurrence of certain events, such as the flip of a switch or the opening of a cabinet door. The garbage disposal may be controlled by a power switch that also includes a light ring.

Abstract: A power control device is configured for use with a garbage disposal positioned below a kitchen sink mounted in a countertop. The power control device comprises a switch, an electrical lead, and a power adapter. The switch is configured for mounting on the countertop. The electrical lead includes a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end is connected to the switch and the distal end is connected to the power adapter. The power adapter includes prongs and at least one receptacle. The prongs are configured for insertion into a power outlet. The at least one receptacle is configured to receive a power plug of the garbage disposal. A user may selectively toggle the switch between an on and off position in order to control the delivery of electrical power to the garbage disposal.

Abstract: A sink having a removeable divide is disclosed herein. The sink includes an elongated rib that is positioned in the middle of the sink and extends downward along the front wall, across the sink bottom between the left drain and the right drain, and upward along the back wall. The removable divide is provided as a transverse wall that is designed and dimensioned to extend between the front wall and the back wall of the sink, and divide the sink into a left basin and a right basin. The divide includes a groove that is complementary to the elongated rib of the sink.

At least one elongated notch is formed in the bottom grid. The at least one elongated notch has a width that is greater than the first spacing, and has a depth such that the notch extends downwardly from a primary plane defined by the bottom grid. When the drying rack is placed over a kitchen sink with the bottom grid resting in the basin, the second parallel supports of the drying rack are arranged parallel to the elongated notches of the bottom grid.
