  • Patent number: 12387839
Abstract: A system for automatically labeling massive quantities of image report data includes a memory configured to store image data and metadata corresponding to the image data. The system also includes a processor operatively coupled to the memory and configured to apply a natural language processing algorithm to identify one or more characteristics of the image report data and the metadata. The processor is also configured to label the image report data based at least in part on the one or more identified characteristics to form a labeled dataset.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 13, 2022
Date of Patent: August 12, 2025
    Assignee: Northwestern University
Inventors: Virginia Boyce Hill, Michael Alexander Iorga, Aggelos K. Katsaggelos, Todd B. Parrish

  • Patent number: 6073041
Abstract: A functional magnetic resonance imaging method comprises the steps of:(a) detecting a physiological timing profile;(b) measuring cerebral k-space data to provide cerebral k-space data;(c) ordering the measured cerebral k-space data into a unit cycle based on the detected physiological timing profile;(d) estimating effects on individual k-space points resulting from physiological effects by non-linear least-square fitting to provide estimated physiological effects; and(e) removing the estimated physiological effects from the cerebral k-space data by substraction of the estimated physiological effects from said k-space data.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5910112
Abstract: Methods for increasing the efficiency of .sup.23 Na and .sup.39 K imaging of biological tissue are provided. For maximum efficiency, the receiver bandwidth is set equal to or less than the quantity N.sub.ro /T*2. Methods for assessing cardiac tissue viability using .sup.23 Na imaging are also provided.
