  • Publication number: 20230041167
Abstract: A mesh implant and/or container may be used as an intervertebral implant. The mesh implant may be anchored or otherwise fixed to the vertebral endplates to prevent the implant from migrating forward and out anteriorly to the spinal column. The mesh implant may be knitted with a rip stop, elastic or other stich pattern to prevent unraveling or tearing.

  • Publication number: 20220133292
Abstract: A retractor can have a portal attached thereto. A portal attachment lock button allows for adjustment of the depth of the portal with respect to the patient. A portal alignment mechanism, such as a ball and socket, allows the portal to be maneuvered. A pair of lock releases control the opening and closing of a respective one of a pair of retractor blades independent from one another. A pair of toeing mechanisms can operate independently as well.

  • Patent number: 10905565
Abstract: An inserter includes a knob at its proximal end. The knob actuates linear motion of a slide at the distal end of the inserter. The linear motion of the slide separates two pins that project from a distal end of the inserter. The pins engage and release corresponding holes defined in the faceplate of an implant. The pins can project at an oblique angle from the longitudinal axis of the inserter. The angle of projection of each pin can be different so that a jaw-like action is provided, which securely grasps the implant via the holes in the faceplate.

  • Publication number: 20200375643
Abstract: An implant filling apparatus may include an actuator mechanism, a push rod, straight fill tubes and/or diverted tip fill tubes and an implant connector. An actuator impacts the push rod at a predetermined pressure and rate such that the push rod can drives fill material out of the fill tube(s) and into an implant that is coupled to the implant connector.

  • Publication number: 20190328432
Abstract: A midline retractor provides access for the placement of PARS screws and other surgical sites. A lower profile allows for better visualization of the patients anatomy and provides better access for surgical instruments. The retractor may include integrated lighting, such as fiber optic lighting or other suitable lighting. The blades of the retractor may include a textured profile, such as diamond plating, grooves, etching or any other desired textured treatment on the blades. The texture on the blades may keep tissue from migrating down the blades and may prevent the blades from slipping up and out of the patient. The PARS retractor may include a blade rotation locking mechanism and/or a blade toe feature that allows for ease of use and an adjustable blade toe. The retractor may also include a rack release that provides for free movement of the rack.

  • Publication number: 20180325574
Abstract: A swivel screw driver including an articulating ball joint mechanism. The ball joint mechanism may allow for up to the range of 40° of angulation. The ball joint mechanism provides for 360° of rotation while driving a distal tip. The driver can include a drive member, a ball disposed at least partially within the drive member, the ball including a drive pocket defined therein, a pin extending through the drive pocket and restrained on opposing longitudinal ends thereof to the drive member such that the pin can only rotate about its longitudinal axis, and a guide body connected to the ball.
