  • Patent number: 11708883
Abstract: An apparatus for applying a force or action directed at interacting with or stopping a mechanism, or diverting an object. The apparatus includes a motor, a pusher, a drive shaft, and a retainer. The motor provides the force or action. The drive shaft is coupled to the motor and fitted within the pusher, and the pusher plate is coupled to the motor, with the pusher being fitted within the retainer. The pusher plate comprises an anti-rotation feature that prevents the pusher from rotating and converts the rotation motion of the drive shaft into a linear motion whereby the pusher is pushed out of the retainer, such as to engage, interact with or stop the mechanism. The pusher may be variously configured, such as in the form of a drive nut, ball assembly or roller assembly.

  • Publication number: 20100050606
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are directed towards improved systems and methods for the delivery of a urea solution to an exhaust gas treatment system. In one particular exemplary embodiment, a urea tank assembly is provided. The urea tank assembly includes a reservoir defining a fluid inlet opening for receiving urea solution and a fluid outlet opening for discharge of the urea solution. The urea tank further includes a vented hollow member located within the reservoir. The vented hollow member defines an internal hollow portion and a plurality of openings for providing fluid flow between the reservoir and the internal hollow portion. The urea tank further includes a heater located along the vented hollow member to cause heating of urea solution within the internal hollow portion and the reservoir. The urea tank further includes a fluid pump located within the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 6264112
Abstract: A fuel injector for an engine includes a continuous endoskeletal injector tube enclosing an imperforate continuous passage for fuel flow from an inlet end to an outlet end of the tube. A valve seat, injection valve, tubular magnetic pole, biasing spring and adjusting sleeve are mounted within the tube, optionally with other elements, all being exposed to fuel in the passage defined by the tube. A solenoid coil and a magnetic body together with mounting components and seals are mounted on the exterior of the tube where they are protected from exposure to the fuel, which is restricted to passage within the continuous tube. The body, pole and armature form a magnetic flux concentrating path operative to attract the armature to the pole and open the valve when the coil is energized. The solenoid coil may be preassembled with its connector in a body forming a separate coil assembly for subsequent installation on the injector tube.
