  • Publication number: 20040055311
Abstract: A method enables a duct to be coupled to a gas turbine engine casing. The method comprises extending a first inner tube support member circumferentially around the duct, such that a radially inner side of the first inner tube support is against the duct, and wherein the first inner tube support member has a substantially curved cross sectional profile extending between the radially inner side of the first inner tube support, and a radially outer side of the first inner tube support. The method also comprises extending an outer tube support member circumferentially around the first inner tube support member such that the outer tube support member is against the first inner tube support member outer surface, and coupling the outer tube support member to the gas turbine engine casing.

  • Patent number: 6691385
Abstract: A casket corner piece display pedestal and associated methods for memorializing a deceased individual. The casket corner piece display pedestal has a center piece having first and second ends with a casket corner piece receiving surface disposed therebetween. The center piece includes either a memorabilia receiving container, a cremation urn, or both disposed within the first end of the center piece. A base member is attached to the second end of the center piece for supporting the casket corner piece display pedestal. The base member includes an extended portion protruding transversely to the casket corner piece receiving surface on the center piece. A cover member is removably disposed on the first end of the center piece to cover the memorabilia receiving container and/or cremation urn. The cover member includes an extended portion protruding transversely to the casket corner piece receiving surface on the center piece such that the casket corner piece display pedestal has an approximate C-shaped profile.

  • Publication number: 20030006563
Abstract: A rotary facial seal and a thrust bearing are adapted to be installed between inner and outer concentric relatively movable members, such as, the spindle housing and axle of a motor vehicle, the facial seal having an annular diaphragm made up of an inner seating portion mounted on the axle, an outer plastic or PTFE sealing ring with a lip tapering away from a hinged section in a seal body to engage a radial wall of the housing, and an intermediate resilient wall section between the seal lip and seating portion to yieldingly urge the sealing lip into a thin band of contact with the radial wall under the biasing action of the intermediate wall section; and the thrust bearing includes a bearing member which is installed at the inner bore of the spindle housing and is freely rotatable with respect to the spindle housing when engaged by the end of the shaft and inner seating portion of the facial seal.

  • Patent number: 5895051
Abstract: A rack seal for use with a rack bushing and seal retainer wherein the rack bushing is made of a thermoplastic material and includes a face with a plurality of cooling cavities. The rack seal includes a body member, an annular sealing face, and a retainer air side which is in constant contact with the thermoplastic bushing cavity face. The rack seal air side surface includes a bead segment. The bead segment has a predetermined height which creates a minimum contact at a full gap with the rack bushing and is compressible to a minimum gap with the rack bushing. The bead segment of the rack seal is in constant contact with the thermoplastic bushing such that any objectionable noises are eliminated during any separation of the rack seal and the thermoplastic bushing.
