  • Publication number: 20230324323
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining an alcohol by volume (ABV) measurement of liquids that are stored in containers in a storage facility are provided. The ABV is determined by measuring capacitance using one or more electrodes coupled to an outside wall of the storage container. Other environmental parameters can be taken into account, such as a temperature and humidity.

  • Publication number: 20230179231
Abstract: Systems and methods for remotely monitoring liquids that are stored in containers in a storage facility are provided. A radiating cable that is in communication with a receiver is routed through the storage facility. Liquid monitoring systems are associated with each container and broadcast signals that are received by the radiating cables. Various aspects of the liquid can be monitored, such as volume level, atmospheric pressure, humidity, and temperature via sensors of the liquid monitoring system.

  • Publication number: 20210219546
Abstract: A method of treating dicot seedlings comprises contacting dicot seedlings with a composition comprising at least one cyclopropene one or more times prior to transplanting the dicot seedlings. A method of treating crop plants comprises contacting crop plants one or more times with a composition comprising at least one cyclopropene while the crop plants are at a specific development stage, such as reproductive stage.

  • Patent number: 8769019
Abstract: Methods and systems for managing shared state within a distributed system with varying consistency and consensus semantics are described. In one configuration, a computing device receives a first plurality of objects representing the state of a first item and a second plurality of objects representing the state of a second item. The computing device generates a composed view of the state of each of the first item and the second item. The resulting composed views are transmitted using a reliable multicast protocol.

Date of Patent: July 1, 2014
    Assignee: Citrix Systems, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20140066310
Abstract: This invention relates to the use of an ethylene synthesis or perception inhibitor for treating stressed or unstressed banana plant or plant parts in the field prior to harvest. Because the pre-mature ripening is triggered by ethylene produced by the plant, such inhibitor can be sprayed or gassed on the fruit while it is in the plantation (on the tree) to protect and avoid the pre-mature ripening of fruit left on for the full growth period of 12-14 weeks (instead of 11 weeks or less). The invention, therefore, enables the banana growers to leave the fruit on the tree for the full growth period (even under certain stress), thereby gaining a yield benefit without the problem of pre-mature ripening in transit.

  • Patent number: 6693188
Abstract: The present invention is directed to N-acetyl-D-glucosamine obtained from microbial biomass, and to methods of obtaining N-acetyl-D-glucosamine from microbial biomass. In particular, the present invention is directed to the use of fungal biomass to create N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. The N-acetyl-D-glucosamine is efficiently obtained at high purity by degrading chitin in the fungal biomass to create N-acetyl-D-glucosamine.
