Date of Patent: October 10, 2006
    Inventor: Todd C. Adelmann
  • Patent number: 7098541
Abstract: A method and related configuration for stacking and interconnecting multiple identical integrated circuit semiconductor die. A die designed in accordance with the present invention can be directly interconnected with other identical die by placing a second die on a first die. The second die is substantially identical to the first die and has a rotation with respect to the first die. A plurality of electrical interconnections on the first die are contacted with a plurality of electrical interconnections on the second die, forming electrical interconnects between adjacent stacked dies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 19, 2003
Date of Patent: August 29, 2006
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

  • Publication number: 20050286321
Abstract: A probe storage device includes an array of memory storage locations, an array of probes proximate to the array of memory storage locations, and a data density controller coupled to the array of probes. Each probe of the array of probes has a distal tip that is positioned within close proximity to a memory storage location. The probes are movable relative to the array of memory storage locations. The data density controller optionally groups the probes into at least one subset of probes. Each probe of a subset interacts identically and contemporaneously with a corresponding subset of memory storage locations.

  • Patent number: 6862211
Abstract: A memory array for a magneto-resistive memory device is provided. The array includes a plurality of memory cells disposed in rows and columns in the memory array. Each memory cell is paired with another memory cell such that the pair of memory cells are driven to first and second, different states by the same signals. A sense point for reading data from a pair of memory cells is also provided. The sense point is located at a point with one of the memory cells of each pair on one side of the sense point and the other memory cell of each pair located on the other side of the sense point.

  • Patent number: 6862604
Abstract: A removable data storage device is provided that is used with electronic devices using compact data storage capabilities. The removable data storage device includes memory for storing data files and a file management information that includes memory allocation information of the memory. A scan logic is provided that analyzes the file management information and generates file usage data of the memory. With th present invention, a removable data storage device can self-analyze its memory contents and determine, for example, types of files and memory space consumed by each file type in the memory.
