  • Patent number: 9204797
Abstract: Systems and methods for diagnosing a user's condition based on his gait. A sensor module with multiple sensors is placed inside a user's shoe and biometric data is gathered from the sensors when the user takes a step or walks. The data is used to generate loops as the various sets of data is plotted against each other. The loops obtained from the data are then compared against stored loops previously obtained. Based on the results of the comparison, the user's condition is diagnosed using predetermined indicators of specific health issues. Using the biometric data, it can be determined whether the user has a specific condition, whether a specific condition is worsening, or whether a specific condition is improving.

  • Patent number: 9188963
Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating users based on their gait. A sensor module with multiple sensors is placed inside a user's shoe and biometric data is gathered from the sensors when the user takes a step. The data gathered from each of the sensors is then received by a data processing module. The data is processed and compared with a stored signature from an authenticated user. If the processed data does not match the stored signature within predetermined limits, then the user using the system is not authenticated. An alarm may then be generated. If, on the other hand, there is a match, the user is authenticated and this authenticated result can be used to give the user access to restricted resources.

  • Patent number: 6478313
Abstract: There is provided a suspension for the wheels of an in-line roller skate, the suspension comprising a frame connectable to the boot of the skate, the frame having a pair of parallel spaced-apart rails extending in the longitudinal direction of the skate, a bogey for supporting at least one of the skate's wheels, the bogey being suspended to be pivotable about a horizontal axis relative to the frame, and beams for supporting the skate's leading and trailing wheels, pairs of the beams being pivotably connected at one of their ends to the bogey, rotatably supporting one of the wheels at the other of their ends, and being pivotably connected to respective rails of the frame member at a point intermediate the two ends of the beams.
