Patent number: 7963572Abstract: A threaded connection assembly comprises a nut, a multiplier connected to the nut via a first threaded interface having a first number of threads per inch and a well servicing pipe coupling connected to the multiplier via a second threaded interface having a second number of threads per inch. A method of forming a threaded connection for a well servicing application comprises forming a pipe coupling between two well servicing pipe sections and threading a connector to the pipe coupling to form a threaded connection without impact loading the connector. Another method for forming a threaded connection comprises disposing a first pipe section partially within a nut, threading a multiplier into the nut, threading the multiplier onto a second pipe section, and leveraging the multiplier against the nut, or vice versa.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2006Date of Patent: June 21, 2011Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services Inc.Inventors: Brad Bull, Leonard Case, Todd Dean, Ivan Blanco

Publication number: 20050217877Abstract: An apparatus for rotating a threaded tightening device includes a guide and an anvil utilized to impact a lug on the threaded tightening device to rotate the tightening device onto or off of a threaded member. The guide has a frame with a support sleeve attached thereto. A reciprocating device is received in and is supported by the support sleeve. The anvil is attached to the reciprocating device. When the reciprocating device is received in and is supported by the support sleeve, actuation of the reciprocating device will cause the anvil to repeatedly impact a lug to rotate the threaded tightening device in the desired direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2004Publication date: October 6, 2005Inventors: Kenneth Neal, Paul Brown, William Kendrick, Todd Dean, Brad Bull

Patent number: 6612252Abstract: A convertible control system for a kayak having a first and second unit. The first unit comprises a guide mounted with each side of the hull forward of the seat. A mounting bar is carried by each guide with each mounting bar carrying a plate and a shaft adjacent one end and in substantially perpendicular relationship thereto. A locking member is associated with each guide for releasably locking each mounting bar in a selected position along the longitudinal axis of to the guide. The second unit comprises a rudder connected with the stern, a rudder pedal pivotally mounted with each guide by way of the shaft in a position normally spaced from the associated plate. A cable extends between each rudder pedal and the rudder, whereby movement of the rudder pedals results in a corresponding movement of the rudder.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2002Date of Patent: September 2, 2003Assignee: Watermark Paddlesports, Inc.Inventors: Todd Dean King, Charles Sagraves

Patent number: 6073574Abstract: A hatch cover for covering a hatch of a water craft is disclosed. The hatch includes a hatch rim surrounding the periphery of the hatch and the hatch cover comprises a peripheral skirt having a latch interfitting with said hatch rim when the hatch cover is fitted upon the hatch in a closed position. A biasing connector assembly retains and secures the hatch cover on the water craft in the closed position, and when the hatch cover is removed from the closed position. The connector assembly has a first configuration for biasing and retaining the hatch cover in the closed position on the hatch. The connector assembly has a second configuration when the hatch cover is removed in the open position in which the hatch cover remains connected to the water craft. A gasket may be interfitted between the periphery of the hatch rim and the periphery of the hatch cover skirt to seal against the entry of water.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 1998Date of Patent: June 13, 2000Inventors: Todd Dean King, Thomas M. Patent number: 5970903Abstract: A kinesthetic seat assembly is disclosed for a watercraft used in white water conditions of the type having a hull and a cockpit opening formed in the hull for access to a cockpit seat assembly of the watercraft. The seat assembly includes a contoured seat with a pair of opposing contoured upper leg supports, a contoured buttock support, and an adjustable kinesthetic crotch pod assembly. The crotch pad assembly is carried by a medial portion of the seat assembly between the opposing upper leg supports, and includes a crotch pod constructed from a shapeable material which may be contoured and customized for the anatomy of an individual boater. An adjustment mechanism mounts the crotch pod to the medial portion of the seat assembly for adjusting the position of the crotch pod on the medial portion in a longitudinal direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the kayak to fit the boater.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 1998Date of Patent: October 26, 1999Assignee: Perception, Inc.Inventors: Bob James McDonough, Todd Dean King, Aaron Lee Phillips, David Maughan

Patent number: 5704137Abstract: A hydrodynamic pad including fluid-filled inner and outer bladders interconnected by fluid channels and configured such that displacement of fluid from the center of pressure distribution generated by foot impact radiates from the inner bladder outwardly to the outer bladder through one or more of the fluid channels causing the outer bladder to expand to an expanded condition. The expanded outer bladder seats the wearer's heel in the hydrodynamic pad, thereby stabilizing the foot of the wearer, and the controlled flow of fluid through the fluid channels to the outer bladder dissipates the impact loads, thereby cushioning the wearer's heel. When the pressure is released from the inner bladder, by lifting the wearer's heel, the expanded outer bladder forces at least a portion of the displaced fluid to the inner bladder, such that the hydrodynamic pad is reinitialized.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1995Date of Patent: January 6, 1998Assignee: Brooks Sports, Inc.Inventors: Todd Dean, Eric Dreyer, Raymond M.
